New start date for S3- October 4th

The production stream thingy was super gay.

  • October 4th is tentative date
  • All ages
  • No beating up the house
  • Still don't seem to know how many contestants
  • Portion of TTS going to the fish
  • No fans (lol yeah right)
  • Good audio (lol yeah right)
  • Bone chilling slow burn season
  • No more bathroom cams
  • Sharks are back
  • Jet seems to be very confident that it will be higher effort and people will be satisfied (lol yeah right)
Probably missed a couple things but that's the basic gist of it.
I predict most of those things are lies.

To tack onto this:
  • They streamed for over two hours without divulging any information and mostly seethed about fart TTS
  • "Unless something critical happens we intend to go live October 4th"
    • House full of furniture already, next 5 weeks or so is primarily to install tech
  • Jet's goals: Good audio, fun house, something else I missed, no fans
    • Later re-stated - "No fans, big house with cool activities, stuff for morning people and night people, try to channel experience from this whole way to our best production yet, I feel very calm about S3 being killer"?
    • "It's like Season 1 but if we knew what we were doing"
  • 6 weeks confirmed
  • Number of contestants - Did not divulge the number of contestants despite being asked three separate times
  • Slow burn planned
    • TTS going to be heavily curated first week
    • "We need you to not freak out when there's not blood instantly"
    • "It's going to take two weeks for Fishtank to show its' head"
    • "It's going to start slow, but then it's going to go faster than its ever gone"
  • "TTS: What do you have planned for Halloween?" "Jet: TRICK OR TREAT!"
  • Blood Games S2
    • When asked about the possibility, Jet shouted "PETER THIEL!"
    • "We'll do blood games again but we need funding"
  • Shilling of new streaming options on the site
    • Separate chats will be made sooner than later (apparently all the streams share the same chat right now?)
    • "We have riveting content - Odd Bod in drag asleep, Greg re-streaming this stream, [someone] playing a 25 year old game"
    • Unclear if these streams will be offered during S3
  • "When you complain you're usually right"
Overall Jet said the right things. Glad they pushed the date and also aren't doing Fishtank 2.9735932

Thank you, I don't know how you managed to sit through that shit.

I'm CAUTIOUSLY optimistic about the "slow burn" part. Hope that also means letting the fish actually build seemingly organic relationships that can later be used for drama, instead of just having random D-tier e-celebs come in and fuck with them every day.

I'm optimistic about the show, but the "There'll be morning and night content" worries me a bit. I think the wigger staff is going to be worn thin fast if they shoot for near 24hour content. It seems unrealistic and like a logistical nightmare. They will probably have to break the staff up into two shift minimum that overlap to keep shit running. They're also effectively herding cats with their cast, they will absolutely be hard pressed to keep at least someone up for content at every hour. Even if they have awesome performers like Jan to try and tard wrangle their attention or do stuff with it will be a nightmare at times.

6 weeks confirmed
I fucking hate Jet. stupid fag, just make it 2 weeks, we all know those faggots lose steam halfway through at the very latest. why even have 6 weeks if they give up around week 2 anyways? if season 2 was two weeks long people wouldn't have hated it, just accelerate everything. you got 6 weeks worth of bullshit jet? well then boom now you have two weeks but its triple stuffed. no more taking an entire day to set up a 5 minute event. i'd like to see the TTS because from what i remember it seems like most of them by the end were just staff abusing their unlimited free TSS

Money. The longer the show goes the more money made. I think 4 weeks would be totally fine and would also eliminate much of the sitting around and doing nothing we saw in both season 1 and 2. The week of basically nothing at the end of season 2 was fucking awful. Greg was the only good part of that.

I'm cautiously optimistic, because S2.5 was what they promised it would be, and it went above expectations after S2. But really, anything is better than S2... Except for set design. I'll never get over B3 with the wallpaper matching the couch.

I don't know about that one. At a point interest plateus, even for the whales. At some point you will hit diminishing returns and it's all down hill from there. If we're being optimistic it could be a reflection off 2.5 Blood Games compared to 2. Absolute hell tank drains the fish. Drained fish make minimal content until they in some instances snap, no content no show. A period of friend tank would just be better entertainment I think than going full out and also probably will lead to less issues with the fish/show after the fact.

if season 2 was two weeks long people wouldn't have hated it,
I don’t know if it was the length of time so much as the execution in general that people hated. In S2 the fish were starved, sleep deprived, and forced to do physical workouts all the time which was the epitome of nontent. The best moments in S2 highlighted the fact that the challenges ranged from mediocre to painfully uninteresting. The boxing got really fucking boring too once the novelty wore off. It was a general laziness of ideas that hurt season 2 in my opinion and gave us the most low stakes boring finale of the swamp olympics.

what?

lol ya no this shits over. I genuinely think Jet might be mentally retarded. Fisherprice Tank 3
He didn't elaborate on the all ages thing. Just said they'd have all ages there. I think maybe they're gonna have some people in their 40s or older this time. Doubt they'll allow anybody under 21.

Adding older people has a lot of potential to create fun dynamics. The average person grows out of the "I want to be famous" phase of life by around 28. Whoever signs up 35 years or older is guaranteed to either be an insane narcissist or someone who is so desperate to have a roof over their head for any amount of time that they will degrade themselves without hesitation to have that privilege.

Jet said the same thing during season 2 that destroying the house wasn't funny and look how that turned out. Sam won't be able to help himself from smashing shit.
I feel like this largely depends on weather they want to keep using this house for more seasons or not. I think they may want to be in a more stable location and use it to run off-season events like they have been doing there.

Spooky tank sounds like a good time, lots of potential.

They always run out of steam, its part of the process. even in 2.5. I want to see the 6 weeks work and I think its worthwhile for them to keep trying that. ( I wont count season 1 because they sort of lost a week due to being 'offline' )

The venue addresses for each of previous seasons were leaked pretty quickly, so it doesn't seem realistic to me. They already had issues dealing with neighbors and city government in season 2. Holding on to a single property and trying to re-use it would allow time for bad actors to seriously jeopardize current and future productions taking place there.
