With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

there was something so oddly genuine and at the same time absolutely hilarious about sam hyde doing his silly hiyyya bit while everyone else sits idly, bored and making small talk. it makes me wonder if he changed the tone from his original script after seeing just how much potential there was here for something genuine and not like moms: 2023 edition.
 
Another thing I noticed was the major difference between Simmons and Vance’s workshop teaching. When Simmons tried to teach improv, he was overbearing and over correctional. He spent more time criticizing people and forcing them to conform to what ever his holy texts said. Vance is more than happy to let people experiment on his pads. He doesn’t need drum sticks or pads to explain concepts and will let one player fuck around while he talks to another. He’ll point out when Letty, Jon or Josie do something accidental right to help show how much easier it is. And he doesn’t force anyone to do it, just because josie was doing it earlier doesn’t mean Vance has to force her to participate when she wants to sit and watch. This is all to say I want Simmons voted off as soon as possible and I hope Vance teaches everyone how to jam out.

Yeah, he may shift gears once he clears his head. But it’s funny to me that people thought Sam was pulling Simmons leg despite the clear divide in how Sam treated him. While he was tough on other people in the house he usually came around.

Jon stuck out the pad beating and got his lesson. Letty received straight up two pep talks. Simmons was bullied over and over and Sam never came back around with it.

That Bacon flavored Spam is great cut into 1/4 slices and fried in a little butter and salt+pepper. tastes great on a biscuit, bread or even by itself. The Spam of today isn't the nasty shit it was 20-30 years ago.

Mauro is a waste of space on the show. I despise that he was part of Josie's team and is thus safe from elimination. There are people I like less than Mario, but at least they add some emotion to Fishtank. Jon's fucking annoying but it's not...nothing. That fat fuck is back in bed again. What were his sleeping hours last night? 9pm - 3pm?

Very true. Vance is a genuinely good teacher and chill guy. Simmons is a little neurotic twink who thinks that there is a proper way to do improv. His 5 minute cringe solo during the performance a few hours ago showed that he truly has no clue what he's on about, if the morning sessions weren't enough proof. What's really sad about that is, that's Simmons' whole thing. Vance comes into the Fishtank as 'the music guy' for lack of a better category, and he genuinely knows his shit. Semens' main thing is improv comedy/singing, right? His impressions and comedy are bottom of the barrel.

Mauro has to go first. Weakest link by far. Sylvia after that. Simmons should be 3rd one out

In a fair world Mauro would win for being a normal person, but he doesn't fit the purpose of the show. Sylvia is also a non factor as she does nothing. Vance isn't great either, but at least Sam bullies him.

Vance only has worth to the show for being a foil to Jon. Making peace with Jon tonight might ironically be his downfall.
 
Lmao that cut from the drum lesson to the living room and Damiel in the middle of saying "have you guys ever fell in love with a stripper? I have before" but the autistic camera operator flips back to the drum lesson so we miss his story
