I know AB sentiment is mixed, but they have been good at being accurate and impartial with previous digests.
Official support is good, probably means a salary and that a promise from pre-Season 2 is fulfilled, to have official recaps every day.
I don't think AB got enough viewership to be independent anyway and its a huge time sink, with time it would fall to attrition so the official support keeps it going, that's good.
