I believe that Dan and Angie's rivalry is going down as one of the best and most iconic rivalries in Fishtank history.

The one with the most potential but what could have spanned most of the season got undercut by her early exit. Just like Dan and Jin. It's like getting one really good season and then having the show cancelled; the wrap up was pretty good for what it was but it could have been more.

Dan seems like the type that NEEDS someone else to feel mightier than to have any semblance of self-confidence. He felt superior to Jin in some way and thus he acted out. He felt jilted by Angie and while I think that beat him down more than anything because he liked her and him fumbling that bruised his ego, his feelings of betrayal acted as some kind of motivator for him to think outside himself. He's at his worst when he gets in his own head.

Compare and contrast to Luke/Simbal: the lion thrived once he had his direct competition (in his eyes) eliminated but the moment Luke returned, he fucked himself so hard in his void of insecurity that he creeped out the entirety of FH2 and got eliminated. Luke was a poetic bookend for Simbal's story, whereas Daniel got 2 out of 3 strong relationship lines severed in the first week.

If Angie comes back later down the line akin to Luke with Simbal, maybe. But I feel like they were cut off way too early and Dan so far doesn't seem like he's benefited from having his outward competition removed.

I hope I'm wrong because Dan seems to be a favorite for production and many viewers but I do think he's cratered after Jin's exit. That combined with a slight fear of production slamming the hammer down on him (thanks Jet), barely managing to avoid elimination after all but giving the fuck up before Angie's elimination was announced, and the dynamics he has with the remaining fish leave me worried.

He's the closest to Aryeh through being autistic, which I don't think Daniel views as a good thing or something to brag about but rather the heart of many of his problems. Daniel sees a lot of himself in Aryeh but it's all the parts he hates; he clearly wants to be more than just the awkward autistic guy but might feel like that's all he'll ever amount to by keeping Aryeh as company. Unfortunately, comradery is all he has now but a sense of antagonism and superiority seemed to actually drive him.

Ellie seems close if not cordial with Aryeh so unless Ellie massively fucks up, I don't think Aryeh will get too hard on her, meaning Daniel can't unless he wants to test out which side Aryeh's morals land him on. Direnc might overpower Dan through sheer force of bravado and the appearance of confidence plus a willingness to try. He might latch onto her as his next hate sink but Freddy is definitely ahead of her there, yet Freddy is wet-brained and very kumbaya; Aryeh told him to his face he wanted nothing to do with him and Freddy proceeded to glaze the autist because he is desperate for that same validation or at least for his company to like him and want him around. A true fraternity ringmaster.

If Seth is revealed to be a vile loli-enjoying prostitute user who lied about being a virgin, Dan could find a rival in him, but I would assume Seth rightfully registers lower than Aryeh in Daniel's mind, he's very nothing right now.

I still think the funniest thing (and probably correct thing for the show) would've been to kick seth.
Maybe he will do more as time goes on but so far his just a background character.
Even when everyone teamed up to take Angies shit he just stood there.

Daniel at the start of the season seemed like he had potential to be a real dog of a competitor. Now it seems like he's just an awkward autist who can't grasp that this is a competition after getting signed out multiple times. Dump daniel coin, it's all downhill from here

I also think there was a dynamic with dan and angie that was lost now.
I think he really seethed at her bc of the autistic hand holding thing.
I think he was also the one who tackled her down in the living room and took her candy the first time (not the last time where everyone ganged up in the bedroom) Might be wrong about that, but think it was him that did that

I'm not saying Mauro is the best person to have been in the tank or that he was even close to it but Mauro wasn't as irrelevant as people try to portray him as.

I think it's a bit too early to say this since it's not even been a whole day since Angie was kicked. Dan has been one of the better content makers since Angie has left, everyone else has just been cleaning and that's pretty much it. As it stands at this very moment Aryeh and Dan have been the two best in the hours after Angie was eliminated.

I feel like no matter what Daniel does everyone will still say he's nontent and does nothing. I remember in sneedchat immediately after Daniel wrestled Angie for her burger, and I mean immediately after, was saying Dan is boring and does nothing because he's a cuck. Pure delusional nonsense.

Unrigged elimination challenges do not belong on Fishtank.

Not the whole way, the first week or two should be akin to pruning nontent fish like pulling weeds in a garden. Afterwards it should be fine to have curated eliminations where good fish can get immunity from elimination delivered to them. This is how you preserve the most vigorous and entertaining fish because they'll be the most ruthless at getting immunity anyway. Jet put himself in a bind this time because both Freddy and Angelina were the dogpile targets and they were the most active the first 7 days. Freddy was saved by the Stox rigging to put him in first place for immunity, Angelina was left to the wolves and got dogpiled since they understood Freddy wasn't possible to eliminate. Even then Angelina still almost managed to overcome a 5v1 dogpile with a gap of 30 pieces of candy by targeting Daniel which shows she is the exact kind of fish that would have been good the entire season.
