Day 14 recaps

Montages of house 1 activities from both recappers

I don't know how to feel about the basement arc, I was long asleep when it started (because of course). I guess I'll keep watching and we'll see.

In my head after I saw the S1 house and knew about the week 2 twist I imagined 3 acts of this season, 2 weeks in the S1 house, 2 weeks in the S2 house, and 2 weeks in the S3 house. I don't know if they can sustain 2 weeks in the S2 basement with this gimmick, or even if that's truly what the plan is. The real lesson here is unexpect the expected because this is Fishtank.

Crackpot prediction that will not happen: after a few days in the basement the fish are told the outside world is safe again and they emerge into the S2 house which has been completely redone to be 70s again and the fish discover they've traveled back in time to just before S2 and they have to stop Judge Goldstriker before it's too late, if they are successful this erases Season 2 from canon and Jimmy no longer exists in Fishtank lore.

Arye's taken Freddy's shift and has been quietly yapping his way through without even TTS to keep him going. He's absolutely thriving and in his element.

personally, I think this box twist is just wigger bullshit. lack of planning or a delay in staging the s2 house. jet openly admitted in a rare moment of earnest communication with the audience that the box wouldn't last long and was a last minute fakeout twist while they prep the real twist. they will definitely emerge from the bunker into a themed s2 house within a day or 2.

Does anyone else find the dynamic of giving the fish a harshly restricted supply of bathroom break tokens both needless and crappy?

Sure they don't want the fish taking the mick in constantly breaking RP to go to the bathroom and pamper themselves, but bits get sidelined by fish constantly moaning about toilet stuff.

In the final of S1 with Letty vs Josie, there were something like 10 challenges that Letty could only half-arse because she needed the bathroom but they'd only given them something stupid like 2 toilet tokens for 24 hours. We now have Ellie worrying because she's on her period.

I don't really want to watch a show where the goal is to see which person has the strongest bladder, or to deny someone on their period basic hygiene needs.

The wiggers have been in love with the bathroom restriction shit since S1. Even in the original Hell House planning doc there were multiple things they had to fuck with the bathroom situation.

So the stripe thing just turned into a nothing burger and it's fallout house now?

no, the stripes ultimately did reveal the twist. they said "red is the whole point" earlier and letty's stripe is red and she stayed in b3(which had the red stripe) - i just think it was extremely vague and kind retarded but the big twist is that they're moving houses and bringing in fish from previous seasons in those houses. i think the other colors they talked about in the starburst code-talk were the other previous season fish. sam just likes letty, she led to the twist reveal. she was "the point"

i think rachel leaving fucked it up kind of, and she was supposed to be locked in a room with letty.

I haven’t been able to tune in since the cams turned off house 1, but reading the thread it seems pretty awful right now. I hate when the audio is fucked (thank god they kicked Angie) and it sounds like it is bad now. There are some screenshots (mostly of drench’s ass, all coomers must die) but it sounds like there is no real plan. I imagine they will just be downstairs a few hours or days then the rest of the house will start being used.

Edit: oh don’t forget whoever gives Sam the best name tonight for a supplement company and the name for his first product that is a focus nootropic wins 10 fish bucks!!! (Freddy turned his in after 5 minutes and it made Sam laugh)
