A lot of this leaking is around BG and S3, pointing to a growing problem. imo. Just have not heard bad things from Season 1 fish even if there were similar partying even back then after the season ended. Like moneygoblin sharing pictures of nitrous canisters and what not. Still the S1 fish like Josie or Letty are not scornful. Josie was recently asked if she would go back and her only qualm is if they can pay her enough. I do think it's important for the show that production maintain a level of authority over the contestants, that the contestants don't act overly familiar or testy with the staff, which I think probably was an issue in season 4, even though I can't say if Jin was the main culprit. And it can be funny too, as in the case of Rachel, just because it got so absurd.

If a hypothetical contestant was to randomly start quizzing Sam about Marky I'm sure that would be very amusing to a certain subset of the community, but they'd frankly be in the right to punish that sort of behaviour. And it isn't a matter of liking or not liking Sam. This person is just fucking with the integrity of the show by trying to "expose" the host and cut him down a peg.

One of the most widely shared clips from season 1's pre-production was of Sam reprimanding someone in chat for asking if Fishtank is a free-speech absolutist platform. And they've always been open about the need to filter TTS to maintain control over the show's narrative and tone.

The fish didn't know Jin was eliminated for quite some time because he was called down and his stox listing stayed up for awhile. Jet wasn't even in the basement to explain anything to Jin, he was hiding. It wasn't about Jet's authority, it was about his ego.
They definitely have a problem being taken seriously but that's another issue, I'm confident that if Jet pulled Jin aside and talked to him, on camera or not, Jin would have no problem so long as he had clear limits but Jet couldn't even talk to him about it. Jet also just looks like a retard so shouldn't be expected to be taken seriously.
