The biggest problem is that it makes it harder and harder to follow. I have no idea how many failed spin offs there have been and even if season 5 hits, which I'm doubting, there's going to be so much noise from ex-contestants that it will be super hard to follow.
Highly optimistic me is hoping this is what the delays are about, from what little noise there has been it does seem like Jet and Ben are working on something in a new location.
It's pretty much 1:1 what IP2 is now, which is what I think Jet wanted initially until he realised how insufferable 90% of the ex-cast is.

I have very little faith in them executing anything well. They've had like 6 iterations or something if you include stuff like Bitch Tank to get stuff right. In general the "Sam Hyde Production Krew" doesn't seem to do very well (although they have been putting out Sam's regular longer videos and did finally release world peace 2 although it seemed to take fucking ages to edit).
The real issue is Jet wants to buy himself out the problems instead of building up the know-how to fix them. I go back to season 2 and them honestly not knowing what a audio loopback was and how to fix it. Everyone tried to play it off as them messing with viewers but it was clearly not that case. Jet is just stupid and lazy but i can say this after seeing a lot of their podcasts: Ben is retarded, like for real.

Quit your bitching, most of the spinoffs can be ignored and a few of them are actually really good. If anything, I'm glad that more people are picking up on the format due to the show's success. Obviously Jet and Co. are not great so why not encourage experimentation? Personally, I fucking LOVED El Estanque (especially towards the end where they shifted to all English), it captured some of the magic of S1 and what makes the show good generally.
Can you imagine how different S4 could have been if they had a cast of unaware people (like S3 and S1) instead of fans? But keep Freddy.
