With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

He's currently scambaiting. It's actually pretty funny. Kept the scammer going for a while trying to set up some transfer, now he's asking if he can pay in Burtcoin or Fishbucks signed by Jason or Jerimiah Goldstriker or Payton Pal. Dropping Fishtank lore to the confused Indian.

Burt is good at this because it's really hard for the scammer to know that he's being fucked with. Much as we struggled to understand how good Burt is at playing up his eccentricities.

Edit: Now he's calling an Indian magician and asking for a love spell to be cast that will allow Alex B to accept his queerness and leave Jackie, continuing to drop lore while the scammer just answers 'yes sir'. Burt asked how long it will take for the spell to take effect and the answer is 9 to 14 days, to which Burt's immediate response is that that 'sounds like the age of a child molester victim on Law and Order SVU'.

they should pay the users by letting them gamble with the odds of any given contestant winning, for real money, and take a percentage, but they can't even simulate said odds because they devalued their own simulated currency by being retarded and had to issue more shares of it to the users.

i expect any attempt made by the wiggers to do this would result in a crypto scam rather than a partnership w/ a real prediction market(which let people gamble on the odds of any given event occurring)

Leaning into gambling would be gay and make people take the competition (the least interesting part of the show) even more overly seriously
 
They had some crypto betting site partnership doing that for S4 but they stopped not far into the season. I'm guessing legal issues?

Can you let people gamble on events that you have control over?

no im guessing the site pulled out when they realized the wiggers had no clue what they were doing and stox and the prediction market's odds weren't lining up

as for second question, sort of. you can bet on events on these markets like "will burt do more pull-ups than mizzy" or whatever, and as long as it's a somewhat fair contest it's not illegal.
people also straight up scam using markets like these all the time, like that guy Miles Roultledge that bet 20k against himself not finishing a water fast and then bailing on the water fast.

so what im saying is i think the wiggers would scam and therefore no legitimate market would work with them, but this would be a way to financially scale fishtank if done properly.
also event-based betting basically makes it so the competitions are treated as separate from the inter-fish drama, which created a really funny dynamic in s3.

thw wiggers would just use this to scam the audience like they did with the real gambling in season 4. they just pick the least voted option, put money on them, then make them win.

It is worth watching the VOD, other prank calls weren't bad either but those are just the top two. He called Scientology numbers asking uncomfortable questions and insulting their god, called Dominos asking if you need to be a dom to work there and same for Subway but with sub, called asian massage parlors asking for sucky sucky. He said he will continue doing prank calls as this stream turned out well.

I still stand by what I said in S3 chat. Alex leaves the beast (or she dies of a cardiac issue), Burt and Alex get a condo together and live stream from it. Bros content palace.
