With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

this is grim, and i fuckin hate it. almost a funny insult to the s4 cast- yea instead of bringing any of you back, we're just gonna bring back alex b and binx! haha season 3 part 2, prod w right guys? right?

i dont even wanna watch anymore, im so MATI.

I'm also tuned out at this point because none of this is entertaining or of consequence. Almost everything with Alex B is on loop. The fish are being overshadowed by what is supposed to be a B-plot but really dominates the show. Every waking hour is Alex B, Alex B, Alex B, Alex B.
 
I'm liking what we're seeing so far, but I'm really hoping the competition aspect heats up. It's vibetank right now which is great for casual 2nd monitor stuff but I miss being glued to the screen like we were for S1-3. We need some high intensity challenges with major stakes to get everyone pissed at each other. The contestants are acting like the day rate is the only thing that matters.

I've said it before but it's not because torture=funny but because the emotional shift is compelling. How can Landon, James, the twins, and Bashir all handle abject filth, endurance tests, and psyops all at the same time? So far they've really breezed through everything. The final week can't be as easy or the viewers will trickle off.

Sam's gotta come back, or at least someone equally physically imposing. I'm realizing that one of the reasons he worked so well is that his size made the whole competition feel less optional. Drake could take on Ben and Jet simultaneously, there are no real stakes for him, Bashir, or even Landon really.

Here's a clip of Binx revealing that she's into polyamory (surprise surprise a blue-haired harlot would be into poly), and talk about Bashir having four wives but never consummating.

Bashir does the same, and it was actually him who gave Drake this tip after the early Vicky shenanigans. I think JD started to do the same. Anissa and the twins always had theirs in the closet, same for JD until Vicky did the pad thing with him.
