You can clearly see here that he grabs the door, then pushes it forward hard into Drake's face, and then to the side to make it seem like he was just pushing the door off himself

Look at that arm motion, he meant to push it forward, there was no deliberate intent to aim it at a head iirc, because doors are heavy, but you can tell he wanted to throw it at Drake.

Under adrenaline though, you have a door that has been kicked off the hinges into you, you are going to deflect it back at whoever just did that. And in fairness to Drake, under adrenaline, you might think that has been intentionally just smacked into your face and then want to throw a punch back.
The fact is though, all of that happened because Drake is the one who knocked that door off the hinges into Bashir in the first place.
