With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Not that your overall takeaway is wrong, but you can tell who has watched older seasons and who is a nu-fag when they think the Family Guy question was just some random trivia or rigging. It's been a bit since S1.

I must be mostly Family Guy blind cause I've watched every season since day 1 and forgot that. I think I'm just used to largely tuning it out since I've never watched

I don't think they are very coddled. If a Fish's nature makes people pull their punches I think that is fair game. On another note the show is not outright sadism. I think Fish get challenged in proportion to what they can take for the most part. You can say Twins were never dogpiled nor a target for the kind of relentless harassment that would cause them to walk, but Twins are not the only Fish who avoided dogpiling. Fish who got lengthy bouts of either dogpiling or relentless harassment like JD and Bashir court that to some degree as well, when I don't think Twins really do.
I think the coddled accusation comes from Twins showing exploitable weakness that would be easy to needle them with that nobody capitalized on. Then people look at JD walking as an example for how Fish should be handled, its just that Twins walking like that would not be very funny and just kind of sad.

The two times Ive heard them mention it was was TTS prompted so not like they are just randomly going off about their love of family guy.
One asked them a question about Brian and another was just asking them to name their favorite characters from several shows including family guy.
Bashir was also familiar enough with the show to remember the character just not the name. Twins almost got the name wrong but corrected it right before answering.

There was a recount in their favor when the rules were clear about bringing ALL the candy to the count. Something that was stuck with in S4 if I recall correctly.
