- What contestants? S3/4/5?
Twins, Luke, Landon, Jobe and Bashir are my Top 5, in order. I don't think anyone from Season 4 fits for the party but Aryeh could be a Townfolk. For S3 Burt should be involved but I think he'd also struggle as a party member, but could be good in a cast role, Alex B would enjoy it but probably couldn't make the entire run with out Jon-ing out. He was definitely more sober at the finale, and maybe that Alex B could enjoy the Larp enough to make it through, but I expect him to want to fist fight over a bad Foam Sword hit. Most of the rest are fine in smaller roles but no one I want to see. Happy for anyone from BG1 to return as cast/villains. James Drake use to be in my top five to return, and the ending has soured him out of that even though it really isn't his fault, but not to the point that I don't want him involved and I'm sure that'll improve with time.
Edit:
I FORGOT BLANE FML
- Theme? Medieval fantasy focus or scattershot nonsense like BG1?
First one should be another like the first, but I think they could expand on BG like productions. Never Die Living I think showed that other themes of making the Fish goofy improv characters can be enjoyed by the community. The one in my head is a murder mystery party, where it's social interaction in the House with one Fish is the killer trying to take out other Fish in secret. That would be nice if they could keep both the audience and the fish in the dark on who the Murder fish is(lights out moments, tasks for victim fish that would make them suspicious), but that's asking a lot of the Wiggers. Definitely think Murder Mystery Night could be a challenge in the next Season, as well as other minithemes, before doing a bigger production.
- Fully outdoors, split between indoors and outdoors, or fully indoors at a warehouse?
Fully outdoors, maybe a "dungeon" that is a building. I think it'd be fairly easy/relatively cheap to rent out a ranch with trails for two weeks, convert it to theme with premade signs and maybe a couple structures, and shoot for a week.
- More serious LARP than last time, or less serious?
Same, stricter LARP for narrative events, less serious in between.
- More focus on RPG mechanics, or less?
Experiment with more but be willing to bleed off things that don't work.
- Sequel or prequel? Immediate or distant?
Sequel, distant even though it makes no sense with returning characters.
- What shouldn't change? What should change?
I think two weeks was maybe a bit too much. I think a two weeks run with staff having a week of set up, maybe a long weekend(Friday to Monday or Wednesday to Sunday) Bloodgames, and a few days for break down. There are smaller Renaissance Fairs that run like that and I assume make money, you gotta convert admissions and concessions sales to Internet interaction but I think they could still make it profitable. I have stated and intend to pay for a Season Pass when they do BG2 to make sure the wiggers understand it is wanted content.
- Weapon balancing? New weapons? Should guns return?
I think the game should mostly be foam swords, it just worked better that way. The airsoft was fun, but realistically the guns would need a lot more antagonists for balance that they probably can't accommodate. However as they get into the late game I think there should be more specialized stuff for the heroes, like giving Landon a mop that is essentially a spear. More basic Nerf guns for magic spells or various ranged attack themes, would probably be more balanced.
- Should food be earned through quests or money? Or given by default like last time?
Default, most likely everyone involved is going to be volunteering, and while working outside being physical all day the bare minimum the wiggers need to do is feed everyone. And they need to have electrolytes. There are bulk worksite electrolyte products like
https://www.overtimehydration.com/ that make this rather affordable.
- Camera placements? What do we think about the chest cams?
I don't think the chest cams worked, weren't good to watch fighting, I think statics and cameramen are the way to go.
