I agree that I don’t think that they can budget on their own. The amount of plushies and creator merch that they’ve already shown prove that.
But Bongo said when the Twins first left for Fishtank, and were afraid of being evicted from their apartment, that Bongo’s food service job was supporting Bingo and their mom.
I know that their mom has the crochet Etsy. But unless she has another job, that’s not reliable and steady income. Especially before Fishtank when they were nobodies to the general public.

I don't find them to be reliable narrators. Like when Cyraxx talks about "supporting his family" but just makes a few bucks from weens here and there. Low IQ people overblow the meaning of their efforts without even realizing it.
A low level food service job, full time, cannot support three people. Even in Arizona. And they would not have been able to take a month off. They may have capped bills/section 8 housing vouchers or something because you don't have to be disabled to get those, just poor. Their mom is obviously the one doing all the paperwork and shit to get this stuff if that's the case. Unless they have insane credit card debt, that Taco Bell money went to weed and toys.

Yeah, I've thought that ever since Bezo was stuck with Diamond to be "production" & film them. I don't think Jet is necessarily producing it but he's 100% backing her antics & they're coordinating efforts to a certain extent, & I think they're giving her money to do certain things like paying that guy to get the "Fuck Jet Neptune" neck tattoo. I'm honestly kinda surprised they're not running her stream on Fishtank.live as official post-season content at this point

It’s probably a combination of social programs for the poor, credit card debt, Etsy sells, and Bongo working at a donut place/boba tea shop. I don’t know if she was still working at the donut store. But she talked about the owner of the boba tea place being willing to take her on when she came back from Fishtank.
The eviction process is a slow one. If they got the first letter shortly before the twins left, they probably wouldn’t be kicked out for at least another month or two. And that’s if their mom didn’t try to figure out a payment plan.
I don’t think that Bongo slaved away to support her family entirely. But up until she came back from Fishtank, I don’t think that she sat around the house all day long, every day.

I hope it was just something like their mom warning them about overspending, and I hope they're able to get some stability from streaming and a website. Hopefully they are able to save something, since the gimmick won't last forever unless they get some ride or die DSP level dents that end up donating for years. Etsy and ebegging aren't the most stable sources of income.

From today
The first two weeks back home were PURE CHAOS. Lack of sleep, getting caught up with family, figuring out our action plan, getting the right equipment to live stream, setting up the equipment. doing commissions, setting up our shop (sorry for the drama, btw). Even though there was a lot going on, we still got a lot done! Our live streams are going really good now and the shop is working out nicely.
We’ve basically been in a weird crash-course, figure-it-out-as-we-go kind of learning mode. Setting up streaming equipment (thank you Big Sis), figuring out what we actually need (thank you, Chat!), testing setups, fixing mistakes, and then redoing everything again. It’s been messy, but we got through it!
At the same time, we’ve been working on the merch store because you guys showed up for us in a way we’ll never forget. Every design, every drop, every idea… it’s all being built with you in mind. We want it be exactly what you want, while also providing you with high quality art and designs. So, feel free to reach if you have any request!
And then there’s the planning (which is where we are now)! Streaming, content, weekly drops, future ideas, it’s all starting to take shape. It’s exciting, but also a little overwhelming in the best way. We’ve never been the type to use planners, “per se”, but we do now! And once we get a schedule in place that works for us, it will make everything much more manageable!
But there’s one thing we didn’t expect to hit us this hard…We missed our Fishtank family SO MUCH! When you’re in the tank, it becomes your whole world. The people, the chaos, the weird little moments you don’t think twice about while you’re there but suddenly it’s all over. And it leaves this quiet space that’s hard to explain. The viewers felt too, right? At least we’ve found a way to stay connected. Getting on live streams with everyone has honestly been a huge relief because sometimes just chatting with them helps us to feel better.
We’re figuring it out. In real time. With you!
And through all the chaos, one thing has stayed the same:
We’re really happy to be home and to be starting a new chapter in our lives. It’s only going to get better, and we hope you stick around and see what kind of tomfoolery we get up to next!

I didn't want to be the one to say it, but yeah despite being labelled as 16-17 in Shippuden, most of the characters resemble full blown adults to the point I don't think anyone realizes they arent. That's why you see the women cosplayed so much. (well that and the prime demo for OF (brown people) love Naruto). But to answer the original question: most people grew up on these animes and have no real concept of their ages, just that they grew up with a crush on Sakura or whoever.

I'm low key autistic about this because I was an itachi fag when I was a young nigga and I thought making everyone 16 and giga-powerful in Shippuden took away from his character of being 16 and giga-powerful in the OG naruto.
That shit was supposed to be abnormal and alluding to how fucked the Uchiha clan was(just like how the Hyuuga clan was doing the same shit to Neji) and sort of justified his massacre.
And then they just threw all that shit away and made even younger niggas more powerful and made his motivation for a mass-murder "he killed them because he had to and he's a hero lmao" and then they killed off Neji for no good reason.
Fuck Shippuden for real.

While I think this post is extremely autistic, I sympathize because it happens too often in storytelling. A meta tale as old as time.
It's better to be in control of their own domain and I think it'd be difficult to find trustworthy people to manage it without some sort of intent in the Fishtank community. The proper way to do it would be to buy it then pass ownership to them, then they could use it for their shopify and all their other stuff. I don't know much about that merch situation but it wasn't handled well by the person who did it so if their mom is stepping in to protect them and their money, I don't blame her.
