Turkey Tom made a video on Fishtank. It’s crazy to me how little youtube creators manage to grasp. Turkey Tom watches for a few hours here and there and is speaking with a sense of authority. Yet it’s clear he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. The coverage for the show taking actual effort to follow has really exposed how little actual work goes into to these hucksters content.

Is his video like a full on explanation of the show and what’s happened so far? Because I think that you would need at least a ten hour long youtube video to explain all the arcs and conflicts that have arisen during the show so far. There’s just so much to cover, I have no idea how he would be able to do it justice within his average 30 minute long videos.

A lot of what happens on fishtank only makes sense if you're invested in it. My poor husband keeps hearing about it from me and one of his friends and he just doesn't get why we find it interesting, because a lot of it sounds very mundane unless you "know" the characters and feel invested in them.

A reality show that's been condensed and edited into a more cohesive storyline is a lot easier to summarize than a 24/7 stream where there's a ton of lore. I'm not sure the best way to summarize it for people who aren't watching.

For that reason I think it makes the fandom feel quite cozy.
