With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I think what I like the best about this is that it reminds me of early reality tv from the 90s like early real world, before reality tv was a thing with a formula. Hope they can get the website back up because this has a lot of promise.


I didn't really think anyone had it in them to take reality tv back to its roots like this.

Whoever said Vance vs Damiel would be fun, I agree. If they last long enough I bet it will happen eventually.

Jon is easy pickings because he's an autistic tard, but there's not a ton of sport in that. The two more alpha of the pack going at each other is a bit more fun.

The thing that sucks about Vance is you can tell he is a genuinely funny guy but he rarely ever shows it. When everyone on day 2 had to write that little essay for Sam his was one of the funniest. He just barely says anything. He comes off as having less personality then even Mauro but I know he is a cool guy.

Depending on the team, I think either Vance or Mauro goes home. Vance was told flat out on day 1 or 2 he should be mogging these nerds and hasn't taken that advice. Admittedly I've missed what I've missed so maybe I'm wrong there. Could be Simmons on this teams but he's so goddamn dumb that it's entertaining.
Mauro is just... There. If he had an ounce of anything to him he could have a chance with only one wahmen on his team but I don't see Jon or Damiel leaving. Way too entertaining.

Just a heads up on Mauro, he got snippy with Simmons and Jon yesterday because they wouldn't back him up when they were arguing over who was the impostor the night before. This happened in Mauro and Simmons' bedroom. Jon and Simmons were discussing who the impostor could be when Mauro walked in. Simmons asked Mauro if he wanted to join. Mauro said "who gives a fuck" dismissively and rummaged through his bag for something. There's an awkward moment, then Mauro expresses how he didn't like how they were acting last night, says "continue with your energy" and shuts the door on his way out.

I have a feeling that the shock value of Peen Simmons will see their skit win, so that leaves Mauro as the obvious choice to be ousted in the elimination challenge. All he does is sleep, drink soda, and be gay.

sylvia is protected by layers of cushiony fat and would barely feel the blows. in a fit of rage she could easily pick simmons up, turn him upside down, and throw his body through the floor

I have that experience with my gas stove that has this stupid security feature where the gas won't flow through unless you're pushing in the knob to spark the flamers up. One of the issues is that if you let go of the starter too fast it will cut off the gas and you have to start all over again.

The other issue is with the largest flamer, as the points at which it starts letting gas through and the point where it lets through way too much gas for starting are very close, so if you're not careful and you're not starting it up at the lowest possible point you'll get a minor blowout of that one flamer. And unlike the older stove, that flamer is on the front of the stove. Took me a few spooks to get the hang of it.

Those were the issues I didn't experience on an older stove where the knobs didn't have a safety like that and the starter was a separate button rather than something built into every flamer knob.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they had no idea how to operate this retarded safety mechanism and they've blasted too much gas out before realizing how to start it.
