With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

He should have just slapped jet lightly or something.

I do understand the contestants are under a lot of stress and dont have perfect information, but Mauro and the slampig's reactions are wildy disproportional. If you'd have asked me yesterday who the two most likely to overreact are, I'd have picked miss piggy and john halo 90 times out of 100.

I don't think their reactions are disproportional. Mario already looked like he wanted to leave before this happened, this event was just the last straw. Remember, Mario was Simmons roommate and up until yesterday, everyone liked Simmons or at least tolerated him well enough. He seemed weird but harmless and he didn't start any fights. Suddenly, Mario and the other fish learn that Simmons is actually a creepy weirdo. We learned about that information over the last few days, but the fish didn't learn about this until yesterday, and Sam delivered this information in the worst way possible.

It's completely normal to feel devastated after learning that someone you were bonding with is suddenly not who you thought they were. Sure it's easy to say "Wow fuck that creepy guy! I'm glad he's gone!" but your emotions don't run on logic, and they take longer to process. And again, Sam delivered this information and booted Simmons in the worst way possible. He came in there, acting like it was going to be another fun group challenge, only to loudly put Simmons on blast and kick him out, then he punished Letty and Vance for the dumbest of reasons. It was pure chaos, the rules aren't being followed, they change on Sam's whim. Now Mario and the others have to worry that Sam will call out their scheming and punish them for things they didn't even know were against the rules.

With all that being said, I don't blame Mario or anyone else for their reactions. This is not what Mario or anyone else signed up for.
