With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

They're very wrong about why people like Jon. While I do feel bad for Jon in certain situations (like crying in the bathroom when Simmons got booted), Jon is legitimately funny and entertaining. He says some stupid shit sometimes (so stupid it's funny) but he also gives funny and witty replies when people make fun of him. He has also shown to be a very honest and thoughtful person, he doesn't trash talk others and he tries his best to be fair. He sticks with his beliefs and doesn't give into peer pressure. These are all qualities people tend to love in others.

The most hilarious part of this little gossip session is when you go to the kitchen camera and see Jon, in an outfit that most would make fun of, but he wears it confidently, not giving a single fuck. While Vance and Dam trash talk, here's Jon, making dinner and keeping the women entertained. That's another thing these two beta males don't understand: those women aren't there because they pity Jon. Women can be nice and put up with pitiful guys, but not long term. They do it for a little bit, get bored and then leave. These women are having fun and staying because they're enjoying Jon's company.

I do understand what Vance is saying about how being stuck with Jon all day is draining. I know for a fact Jon would get on my nerves after a bit too. But he's really clueless if thinks that Jon is popular due to people feeling sorry for him. He's even more clueless when he says Letty wants him. Vance, Letty is not flirting with you, she's fishing for information. If you want to see real flirting, it was very obvious to anyone watching that Letty was flirting with Jon hard last night in The Cell challenge. The only thing that stopped it was Jon getting booted early.

God, Vance and Damiel are my least favorite characters by far.

I like how Chris was pontificating in the Fish Tank twitter space last night about how Fish Tank is Sam Hyde's opportunity to transcend the 4chan and basement dweller fans and perhaps gain back some mainstream appeal and today the MDE zoomer crew addition (Damiel) is just shouting the f-slur and monkey in the living room. Totally not working against yourselves, guys.

Despite his best efforts to be someone he's not (an Andrew Tate alpha), Jon's probably the most genuine one here.

I think Damiel was thrown into the show with the idea that he'd be this doesn't give a fuck antagonist to everyone, but not only is he too barred out to do much but lay around, he's way too thirsty for clout and wants to be liked. You could see this when he tried to ride Josie's coattails by saying she was like a sister to him on Twitter.

People compared him to Puck from the Real World, but Damiel gives to much of a shit about being admired, while Puck didn't give a shit and thrived off being a pain in everyone's ass. That's what makes an entertaining villain on reality TV.

He's extremely insecure and it shows.
