With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Jon deserved to be kicked out, he has refused to do so many challenges.

Unplanned Parenthood? Simmons 'dirtied the baby'.
Hot dog eating? He doesn't eat pork (except bacon and pepperoni).
Pretending to be schizo? 'It's not cool to make fun of wetawded people' (except when he brags about bullying retards in school and him making fun of cripples etc.)
Pretending to have downs? See above.

All this sprinkled in with constantly going to the basement and his autism fit yesterday barricading himself in a room, putting in ear plugs, trying to block the camera and reading the bible.

Is him leaving good for the content? Absolutely not. The show shouldn't even do eliminations until the last week. Instead have these challenges reward fishbucks. More fishbucks also adds more incentive for the fish to stay around (meaning they don't need to be coddled as much into staying). And this would also make it not as big of a deal when/if some fish decide to leave early. The interesting/entertaining part of the show is watching the fish do retarded stuff, not doing elimination challenges. Less fish = less entertainment. The show is set up to just become more of a bore, like an inverted climax.

Depends what production does from here. Jon could be great when it came to natural interactions but it's no secret he was a complete hindrance to the challenge portion of the show. With him gone, they have the potential to really up the ante on what they make the contestants go through. Jet and Sam better have some great ideas cooking up because they're going to need them now more than ever.

I just liked watching him be a retard.
 
Now that I think about it, every contestant leaving was buck-broken.

-Damiel was in a bad headspace and left on his own accord.
-Simmons did not even try to defend himself and argue. He just took a beating
-Mauro just left because he did not want to stay anymore.
-Jon was Buckbroken and a crybaby this whole week. He did not want to stay anymore. His fire was kinda gone.


Sad for my boy but you know Sam has something special prepared for him.

After him refusing so many challenges no amount of pep would help it. He was too pure for this shit show, but maybe the real Jontent ™ was the friends we made along the way.
 
The other fish are gonna end up regretting it if Josie ever gets eliminated. They are gonna realize the garbage isn't going away on it's own.
 
This event has honestly been pretty boring. These are just normal/mildly autistic individuals doing normal to mildly autistic things. I think he could have done a lot more with less budget. If only he had the balls.

Well, Bible Jon, sped of God is gone. He really just gave up once he finally realized the true nature of the situation he was in. I can't say I blame him. Mark 8:36-37 would apply I suppose.
