With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I wonder if "Jack" is his real name and Jon was a show alias that he's still using to drum up more followers?

Simon seems like a positive addition so far. We can’t tell much about him at the moment since he literally just arrived, but I would say he’s most likely a plant, which is good because I’ve been tired of Damiel for a while now. The point of a plant is to be funny, stir shit, and not be a hateable person to the audience, and I hope Simon does a better job than Damiel. Godspeed Simon, the bar isn’t that hard to clear.

I thought he said his goals were that "he wanted to be good at everything" and his parents didn't believe him. Then something about breaking up with a girl and going to therapy. He talks like a nigger and pretends to be an afterschool special character from "the hood" that it's so hard to understand what he says and if any of it is based in reality at all.

Ah so there was a couple things I wanted to add to the discussion regarding Letty’s past. So statistically speaking, majority sexual assault cases are committed by someone you know/trust and behind closed doors. Imagine you have a young daughter and your own brother who you grew up with, shared many moments with, and knew better than anyone else ends up crossing that moral barrier. Could you ever imagine that your own kin could betray you like that? Well no, and that’s why it happens, and who knows how long it was happening for. How adversely this affects her depends on how young she was when her uncle started doing this, worst case scenario this was her first sexual experience at an age where she likely wasn’t yet taught about the concepts of consent or even knew what sex was. She could have ended up becoming familiar with concepts that kids at that age shouldn’t even know about and then suddenly she begins learning this stuff in sex Ed and eventually she came to realize what was done to her. But at that point it’s too late, being sexually exploited became a normal thing, it was a part of her development as a kid. She’s very stunted obviously and doesn’t know how to do basic survival tasks but thinking on it more…I’m beginning to think that she’s still on the show less so because of resilience and more so because she was never taught how to defend herself, she never learned how to walk away from being taken advantage of or exploited. All she really knows is just how to take it I guess.
