Letty in a twitterspace today.

Josie Update:
Unclear when she'll be streaming. Surprised no one on the crew can spin her up in a day for at least a basic stream.
View attachment 5143468

Here's the first 33 minutes for anyone who can't listen to audio right now, I'll add more later maybe:

- Letty says current plans are streaming on YouTube after she rests up a bit

- Letty is staying at a hotel. She said she sleeps naked and when she woke up naked this morning she thought she was still on fish tank and freaked out that she was nude on camera

- Letty said when they did the bathroom tickets she told Josie they were going to get UTIs. Josie had no idea what a UTI is

- Letty says she was worried most about the bathroom tickets than the challenges because she has to pee all the time and also thinks the all male crew didn't really think about how women get UTIs way easier than guys

- Letty confirms she is 5'5. Says Sylvia is shorter than her

- Letty says she felt bad that the crew let mean TTS to Sylvia go through after she was a bitch to Letty in the camping arc

- Letty says she didn't know why Sylvia hated her so much but she didn't take it seriously and that she has no hard feelings

- The same photographer that gave Jon a free photoshoot after the fish tank offers the same thing to Letty. Letty says that's a great idea and she wants to take a photo of her holding Chris like a baby.

- Letty says the villain arc was forced on her and she went with it

- Said during the first fake out her parents were watching and thought she really won, so she had to call them and let them know it was fake

- People keep trying to call Sylvia a bitch and stuff but Letty isn't taking the bait and says she doesn't want to say anything bad and that she followed Sylvia on Twatter

- Letty said what hurt her feelings is that she came on Twitter and learned that Vance was saying he lied about seeing Letty as a little sister. Letty says she knows she did bad stuff on the show but so did he, and she thought their conversation in the tank was legit

On a typical reality show they don't have a lot of spare time so they just flash some retard's faces on the screen to demonstrate their shock and disgust, but since the pace of Fishtank was real-time, if you wanted, you could just sit with someone while they processed something and that made them more real.
It was comforting watching the early morning doldrums of Jon drinking yet another coffee and Josie pacing around bouncing a rubber ball, and just closing the window after a minute of that.

User immediate_Bug_3437 from the subreddit did the math and it looks like Fish Tank made just under $1.3 million in profits. TTS alone brought in $755k.

Why did we enjoy this scuffed, bungled, jetted-up shitshow so much? Because Fishtank has, for lack of a better term, the "It Factor". The It Factor can overcome a lot of flaws in execution to create something worth watching. I'm not sure exactly what "It" is, but something about the concept + at least 3-4 genuine autists in the building + MDE chaos energy made magic happen.

Mainstream reality TV shows are far slicker and more professional productions, but I don't give them the time of day because they're soulless. They don't have "It". I have no idea what the networks are even showing anymore (seems like a bunch of Bachelor/Love Island faggotry nowadays), but I can tell you about Jon's bizarre beliefs, Josie's plushie naming conventions, and what kitchen components Sam has destroyed with his bare hands.

I'll never forget Jon taking the karaoke machine into the upstairs hallway and reading the bible at unintelligible volume levels for a minute before placing the mic directly in front of the speaker so feedback echoes through the house waking the rest of the fish.

I'm pretty sure the plan is to cut up the footage into highlights to represent a more traditional reality show format that'll probably be released on Sam's gumroad. I'd wait for that, since it'll contain the footage they got on real cameras that we haven't seen.
They said it would probably be multiple episodes.
So we would have the documentary sometime later this year, S2 in winter, and WP2 in about 8 months.
Why? She didn't deserve to win. She should have gotten second place. Letty was clearly the better fish. She contributed far, far more to the show and Josie basically just won the popularity contest.
Josie had her moments towards the end. They get her like one beer and she's trying to help Chris get laid. She helped work with the crew to convince vance to shave his head by offering to shave her eyebrows. The immunity challenge with vance was funny.
Plus Letty was already going home with over $10k (the original grand prize).

Because it made me realize how long it's been since a show could let the people in it call something "retarded". Idc about Sam dropping the gamer word, I just need my fix of people in media using "gay" as a derogatory term.
Also if the show was made by literally anyone else the cams would be cut off at 8pm and all the TTS messages would sound like the ones Josie got.

Learning the wiggers, or at least jet, were encouraging letty towards the end absolves them of some of the show's problems. Had it not been for letty in the the two weeks before the finale, the show would have been miserable. People forget how bad most of camping was and how half assed the challenges after that were when sam was absent. I think because sam was too busy with WP2 to push the show forward towards anything. The ending basically proves it was sam saving the show by giving it a progression. I enjoyed its weird existence between prank show, reality show, and willy wonka written by a PED ogre.

I think jet was mediocre at the overall day to day production, but excellent at holding the whole thing together after the simmons fiasco. That is not top say they had no fuck ups: ella and betty. Simon was a good one though. I do not know how much freedom jet had in doing all that. If they can fix the problems of this season, have less pressure on production and more resources next season, season 2 will be able to make up for what it will lose with all the wannabe e celebs that will be on it.

Mainstream reality TV shows are so heavily edited, censored and occasionally scripted it defeats the point of it even being reality TV. FishTank is uncensored humans being humans totally raw.

It's because it was actually reminiscent of reality tv back in the 2000's when the contestants of a show (like most MTV reality/dating/game shows at the time, Fear Factor, Big Brother, Jersey Shore etc) were encouraged to be "real" but also were picked out for being genuinely weird/interesting people. I am only vaguely aware of what "reality" tv is nowadays, but what I've seen is clearly scripted hollywood rich people pretending to live their lives or some shit.

It just hit me how fucking stupid he is for doing this - the first time he said it was before the results of the PSAT came in. I was fooled into thinking he was actually having a genuine moment there and was trying to bury the hatchet before he or she went home. The second time he said it was when they were waiting for the results of the fakeout ending, when he was increasingly sure that the show was over and that it would be his final recorded sentiment to her.

I think he really wanted it to be his big coup de grace on her, that he would win and she would be eliminated and he'd get this cute little patronizing line out about how he never really hated her and was actually a good dude who deserves to absorb her fanbase. And then she survived both times like a fucking cockroach and he's stuck with this cringe-ass line in her head completely at odds with his absolutely malicious attitude towards her spoiling his bits and attempts to intimidate her.

You just know both times he did it he was like, okay, I have to say this dogshit or else all the Lettychuds are going to be sooooo mad at me in the next round or after the show for trouncing their girl, so I have to say some cutesy bullshit so that Letty forgives me. And then as soon as he dries his crocodile tears and leaves the bouquet on her grave, Letty springs back up like Road Runner beep beep and takes off again.

Yeaah... listen, the reason he did that is because she reminded of him of his girlfriend if she were hit with a shovel. He wasn't a pussy and Vance pills aren't for his bald spot.

Here's the finale split up covering the major points. Not in strict chronological order.

i guess you could say that fishtank had...

I realized that even though Sam pretends to be a hyper-masculine alpha male meme the real Sam is a (almost silly billy) theatre kid.
I liked Sam and Jet as characters. Sam, Jet and Letty all show some interesting dualism:
  • Sam: Reputational baggage and dreams dashed by happy merchants vs Jason Goldstriker, vaguely Jewish entertainment mogul who has never been unsuccessful or cancelled for his ancestors trading slaves. Patrick Bateman sigma grindset vs Sensitive theater kid getting emotional on the night of the school play.
  • Jet: Adulthood (professionalism, starting a career, overseeing things) vs Youth (disregard for rules and appearances, participating in the chaos). Malicious shark antics vs Positive heart-to-hearts.
  • Letty: Villain persona vs Real person. Fandom perception as an insane BPD harlot vs Mundane reality.
As George Lucas once said, it's like pottery or some shit.

jon just joined an IG livestream with josie, and during it he gave his fucking phone number to a gas station attendant claiming "it's 4 years outdated"

not outdated enough to not dox his entire family though.
