iirc, Jet originally got into MDE as an editor. cbf to find the video explaining how he got into it but it was because he had some editing skills and knew someone on the crew. I don't know what mde stuff jet has specifically edited but doing meme stuff or more experimental edits is a different skillset from trying to edit something from hundreds of hours to create a good story but the problem with editing still mostly comes down to jet having a different idea of what should be shown compared to people who are big fans of the show.

When I watched the beginning of Fishtank Episode 4, I remember thinking that this thing must have been slapped together FAST and without a quality screening, bacause it was that rough with such in-your-face mistakes. Later on in that episode, it started flowing much more natural, and was generally less rough. Episode 5 had a bit of a drawn-out intro bit, but then went on to be perhaps the most polished episode so far. I can only assume this is where Ben took over the editing, which is weird, since he is their new audio guy, not editor.So Jet stops being the main editing guy and the episodes immediately improve?
