With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

This speaks to a greater problem with the show that can't and won't be fixed. You can tell with the original season the crew tried to fade into the background as sharks. To let long interrupted moments of nothing happen. If you've seen Big Brother then you know that a big part of that show is that eventually the cameras disappear for the cast. That's because the crew and the audience rarely interact with the BB cast. This leads to a lot of natural moments playing out.

The reason this can't be fixed is that it is at odds with their business model. The audience interacting with the cast is what pays for the show. And the crew interacting with the cast helps drive audience interaction. I'm convinced that this is a baked in issue that can't be solved. As a result you are less likely to see your usual kissing, fucking, and general romance. Those things come the further the audience is away from the contestants thoughts. As a result you see Sam and Jet this season literally bribing people to get sexual.
 
Summer is currently pretending to be Goldstriker. But she's just sort of acting insane. She ran up stairs and woke up CJ demanding something I couldn't figure out. Then ran down stairs and started screaming "Pussy and weed!" into the loud speaker. She then made Jimmy scream into the loud speaker. After that she ran up to Tay and started manically asking her quested. Tay begged her to stop and said she's still waking up. Summer said she can't stop.

holy shit i hate summer so much. everything about the way she talks is annoying. the worst is when she walks up to a random person and gives them a warning about not spilling their drink or some retarded shit.

that being said i was definitely wrong about what i said earlier, she is shaping up to be a content producer and an interesting contestant. i just hope sam gets to cave her skull in with an axe kick.

Sam's teary eyed speech to Letty where he gets super emotional and is saying how much he respects her to while basically saying good job to Josie to me is evidence he wanted Letty to win but knew it could never optically work. I mean shit he basically said as much in his one on ones with Vance. Waifufags and simpery played a massive role in funding season 1 and Sam knew pissing off those paypigs could seriously affect season 2 which was coming out in just six months. Josie winning was appeasing pay piggies and a smart business decision.

The 20k was them saying "Okay we can't let you win because that could jeopardize future funding but we will give you 20k out of respect"
 
My list will be different than others. I rank based on movers and shakers. People who control rooms and create drama. I don't care about likability. I don't watch the show for the parasocial aspect.

S Tier

Jimmy

He controls every room he's in. And he drives people nuts. This cranks up agitation levels. Decreases the chance for dead air. He's been essential for keeping things moving.

A Tier

Summer

She could be S Tier. But she's disruptive enough that she might be on the way out. Incorrectly compared to Letty, No, I think she has potential as an Anti-Josie. Give her special treatment and let everyone hate her. She'd make for a great bad guy this season.

Shinji

Underrated from an activity aspect. I think because of his language barrier. He's been invoilved with most of the action thus far this season. He's putting in a lot of effort considering his foreign status.

B Tier

Cole

Has a lot of potential. Shined the most the first two days. Seemed to not be a major player on day three.

TJ

If Cole dropped a tier yesterday then TJ jumped a tier. Seems to really want to try. Got drunk and sacrificed his health. Call me a fool but I think his quirks are real.

C Tier

Tay

Likable. More than I care to admit. Not normally my type of person. But she needs to do more to stand out. Or maybe she doesn't. Seems like this seasons Vance and might go far by being pretty chill. Ceiling is third or fourth place. I don't think she could ever win.

D Tier

Trish

It seems like she's trying but gun shy.

F Tier

Brian

I sometimes forget he's there. He's fine. But not even that likable.

Megan

Opening up but a non factor. A favorite for chubby chasers.

Jimmy continues the trend of being a part of every storyline. He helps Summer become more man like. They give her a fake dick. Summer replies that she feels so much better now. Trisha pipes up, "Because you have a fake dick??" Summer asks for Jimmy's belt. He explains it will be to big. Jimmy uses something else to tighten her belt line and then head down stairs.

They were both aware of the challenge and consented to it VS Cole isn't even aware of what was done to him. And having a guy's fat belly touching you for a bit is not worse than having something someone rubbed on his genitals, inside your mouth, without you even knowing.

I am sorry you are right, I think next time Sam should make them sign a 100 pages contract detailing the potential risks and challenges of the show, basically warning them beforehand and also getting their consent to things that can happen.
 
I know its armchari psychology but summer seems to be manic as fuck this morning. I tuned in to listen whilel i was cleaning and shes running around spazzing out instead of crying and puking lol. Seems bipolar as fuck.
