With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Yeah, I doubt its that, despite it fitting the 'Sam Hyde production MO' I think if anything, they were with her and she ran off, or they did take her to the airport or wherever, if youre not boarding the plane you can only go so far, so if they took her to the terminal, they cant enter where the actual gates are so they have to say 'listen to this person, ask this person for directions, your flight is x oclock and gate is y, this is all we can do'. And then she gets away and is still freaking out and not listening and doesnt do it.

I do feel kinda bad for her though.

In one of the photos, she has a bottle of blue and white pills--Im pretty sure its vyvanse 50mg or adderall. Its lisdexamphetamine meant to be harder to abuse (for me it just calms you down and is meditative, slows down your internal monologue and the noise in your head, but I gave some to a friend once and he said he just stayed up all night doing homework), but few doctors are going to readily prescribe both an amphetamine and a benzo, because outside of mixing uppers and downers, she is gonna look like a drug seeker.

I was going to post that a few days ago and keep commenting on what I thought of the contestants as I watched but didnt--but the above vyanse prescription confirms at least she has a script for ADHD. I agree that people throw BPD around too easily (I dont think Betty is really that crazy, let alone BPD, mostly acting out), I thought she was unstable but capable of keeping it together and on the show, just trying to 'act crazier', but idk anymore.

I think its an issue of shes in a new situation, insecure in herself, started realizing she couldnt trust/reach out to anyone, and started spiraling in her head--some of it was her acting to be like Im too crazy, Im too weak and insecure to be a big deal, dont fuck with me, but I think some of the shit especially on the last day after she got ridiculed and was singing was genuine anger, not insanity, but the 'I cant function' shit is her puke anxiety and her mind is just racing. Ive been in a situation like that once and your mind starts racing and youre like wait why cant I think straight, why cant I do simple math, why cant I remember my name, phone number or bank card PIN code?

Seeing what happened with Summer, the wiggers really got too full of themselves and didn't realize they got really lucky with Letty.

It’s a thumbnail photo of a Smith and Wesson M&P, she probably doesn’t have a gun if she’s been in the psych ward multiple times as she’s automatically a prohibited buying on a 4473. Now if it looked 3D printed or one of the 80% guns that’d be a different story. But I guess this is how Summer just acts when she wants the attention. She calmed down during the show when people cared for her one on one and settled, I think she realized she was finally in over her head when Brian yelled back at her and decided to crank the crazy dial up for more attention. The whole “I can’t figure out how to answer my phone” and “OMG I’m ending it” is just another crank for her to pull for more eyes on her.

She's also somewhere on the other side of the country from home where she doesn't know anyone, and just left the FT house a few hours ago. 0% chance she found a gun

I think people complaining about those who are upset at this reveal miss the point a bit. It's not that the fish know who Sam or MDE is, it's that they know what Fishtank is in detail. A lot of the fun comes from the fish not knowing what's real and what isn't. Since the fish know about the first season it takes away that tension.

When the sharks harass them they might not view it as annoying, they'll view it as "haha so funny, just like season one." If Frank Hassle comes on it won't be "Wow this guy is a deranged asshole I hate him." It will be "Holy shit it's Hassle. This is so fucking COOL!!!" Nothing is personal anymore, and things being personal is a huge part of fishtank. The fish celebrating as the sharks poured trash everywhere last night is what I imagine a worst case scenario to be. It's the reaction you don't want.

Obviously this is all speculation, and things might go back to normal. But the air is very different and there's a constant worry of this being a fuck up. I hope things recover because I love this show.
 
Jimmy is a lot more insufferable now that he can be a sperg completely unfiltered, he was also acting like it was a massive win that he, a 27 year old, 6 foot monument to autism was tardraging at a tiny airheaded teenage girl a decade younger than him because she stole his imaginary game money.

Right, especially now that likely all contestants will likely be Sam Hyde's fans. No well adjusted person would knowingly go into this game, so the female cast is for sure going to have some batshit deal-breaker quirks. They're playing with fire
 
New fish tank poll has Tay as being the one most likely to be leaving next. I swear, are we watching the same show? Trish or TJ would be my vote, both of them fade in the background and haven't done anything memorable.

That tension is over man. You have to let it go. Fishtank is popular with the type of people they want on the show. This show will never be the show Jet originally had in mind.
