Losing 4 fish in less than 2 weeks is really bad. Every time a fish leaves, it makes the other cast members get sad and become more likely to leave too.
A few people told me a culling/try out system isn't needed when I submitted my Hell Week idea a few pages back. What's the alternative here? Considering people are willing to lie to get on the show?

Edit: If Cole leaves how is this attenable?

At least all the fish will have their own bedroom at this rate. Though the next month of the show is going to get awkward with 3 people waiting around for the other two to drop out.

Christ. At this fucking rate its not even a real competition. Its just a game of who can chill the longest and not leave a fucking week in when the show gets slightly heated. I think @curbside2 suggestion of a hightly autistic bootcamp might actually be actually kinda good... Also keep the MDE fans out next time. I swear they are all quitters the moment something goes wrong. Like I could understand Mauros reason for quitting, as being around Simmons is more then enough reason to dip from any show, but this "uwu someone was mean 2 me" crap is annoying.

I don't get why the fish this season are so weak compared to season 1. Like they watched the show, they are big fans ffs. It's not like they went into this blind like season 1 fish did, so it makes their weakness even more cringe.

Right now the only fish who seem to be taking all the abuse in stride is Jimmy (probably because he already survived a worse environment growing up) and Shinji (he is very positive after every challenge). Brian I will admit seems to have a new determination to stay despite being shat on the most, tho I still wouldn't put it past him to bail. Everyone else seems unable to handle being uncomfortable and ready to leave.

For the love of god please stop repeating this bullshit about people leaving because they are MDE fans. Vance was an MDE fan, Letty was an MDE, Jose was a Jet fan, Sylvia was a Sam and Frank hassle fan etc etc the vast majority of the fish in season 1 were fans and stuck it through to the end.

1. I think they sent the wrong message with Josie winning. She was coddled the whole way through up until the final week. Most these people came on with crafted quirky characters.

2. These are the people they beg for attention in live chat on streams all night. You know the chats that go at lightspeed? They're maladjusted lonely people that came for "the experience. The problem being is that Sam in investing shit ton of money into this. The house alone cost 500,000 before renovations. You think he's going to want to be your friend after you ruined his project?

Given how this season is going so far, if I was one of those angel investors I’d be pissed. I don’t see this season lasting the full time with how fast people are leaving. I think next season (if there is one) they should start with a starting amount of money for coming onto the show and telling the fish that if they voluntarily leave they lose all their earnings. However, if they are eliminated or win, obviously, they get to keep their earnings. That way they’re incentivized to stay.

Apparently Jet did a Q&A in fishchat last night/this morning. Apparently Tay's hat is being taken, there's no plan day to day (big surprise), and they're planning on a new house/venue for each season.

Jet's such a retard lol. I don't dislike him, but Sam is shooting himself in the foot making this kid the showrunner. Dude has no idea what's funny or interesting. "S1 cast was spineless"? Oh so that's why almost half the cast for this season is gone already?

This kid needs to stick to editing Sam's Gumroad trash.

They were MDE fans yes. But they weren't Fishtank fans. My point is that you have to cull out these weaklings. You completely missed that. I'm asking what is the alternative to tryouts. You know something every fucking major competition show implements at some point? How is fishtank special where this isn't a logical step to make? They can't rely on casting luck any further.

Cole's been flirting with leaving since the gator squat challenge. He offered to Brian to let him win since Brian needs the money more, and that's what prompted Brian's sperg out during the challenge. But Cole was just giving himself an excuse to quit, and we've seen it a few other times since then. He's been looking for an excuse to give himself. He's a quitter.

If Fish continue to leave at this rate will the season just end early? Do you bring in a new batch of fish halfway through the show? If I was Jet I would panicking right now.

I think it'll probably get low to the point everyone thinking of leaving is going to stay thinking someone else will leave first and they'll get the extra grand prize winnings and they will just fill the place with freeloaders to compensate.

This fucking retard. While cole is quitting he is begging for random producers and show-runners to pick him up for work.

Yes, because show-runners want to pick up some guy who quit a show a week and a half into it. Thats absolutely what they want. Talent that quits instantly.

He just gave the production the ultimatum. He will stay if they bring JC back. He’s looking like total garbage

IMO Season 1 had the best ratio of MDE fans vs people totally in the dark. You definitely need a couple fish to be "in the know" to an extent like Vance and Letty to play off absolute retards like Jon, but if everyone is in the know then it's just dead on arrival.

What I'm curious about is what the casting process was like for this season. Jet played it up as this great undertaking to find the right people for this season, but like, the cast last season was objectively more lively and dedicated to making the show great, and I'm sure the casting was far less intensive than this season.
