Vance came in to drop off pizza rolls. Sam admits to cole that he gets the most gifts and has the most endorsements out of all the fish stating "the fans hate everyone else".

Xbox was a genius idea, imo. It’s going to encourage seething and scheming from the other fish. As long as Cole doesn’t puss out and actually leave. I don’t know if he’s being serious about leaving or just doing a bit to help push his stocks even higher

He said he was working in a flour mill filling bags, sounds like factory labor type work. He said he wants to win the money so he doesn't have to work those kinds of jobs anymore, I think he mentioned retail at one point too, possibly something he did in the past.
 
Karate time. Jet tells Cole to bring the xbox down so the other fish don't mess with it. "I don't want any of those poor faggots breaking my xbox"

Edit: After many of the fish put on their karate gear, Sam tells everyone but Cole and Shinji to take their stuff off. "Cole's mom paid for private lessons with sensei". Shinji was playing xbox with Cole which is why he's singled out.

I got to give mad props to Sam for turning this around. Turning a potential show ruiner into more content. Get everyone even more resentful of Cole, make Cole feel good and feel like he has control whilst really Sam Hyde just manipulated him into making more content instead of leaving. I'm impressed for real.

Edit: I take it all back. Jet and Sam are retards. Cole has left. Mission failed.

Is it me or even this place becoming overran with genuine parasocial stupidity this season, if anything on the level of the retardation of today occured half a year ago you'd have people here openly asking what the fuck is going on instead of becoming just as retardedly symapthetic as the season pass paypigs on the site itself. Like yeah I get people want factions, but this is just a cartoonish distortion of the already cartoonish autism that was Jontent. Hell, when you stop and think about it the Halo thing is just another callback to that book from S1, everything about this feels like WWE level damage control.

Because it is, the show was always billed as an unscripted reality TV show but that was never the case, they always brought in people to fuck with the status quo, Airsoft Fatty and Frank Hassle being two major points. The addition of Simon was just a pivot when Simmons turned out to be a pedo, hell Josie even started laughing when Simon was first introduced because as she said "A bunch of the stuff about him was basically the same as the guy that just left." The show always had damage control and twisting of content, its just there is a bit of rose tinted glasses for the first series because fish like Letty ended up having insanely strong villain arcs once the entire house started trying to fuck with her.

I'd say it's less parasocial than season 1 since it's more blatantly fake and there's constant interference from production. There has been a lot less parasocial TTS and most of it seems to come from Jet, probably in an attempt to drum it up. People would send conversational TTS in season 1, not so much season 2.

You have people still being parasocial with Josie, Letty, Vance, Jon, and even Sylvia. It's baffling.
 
A certain level of damage control and jankiness adds to the charm imo. I don't think there's a single piece of content MDE has ever produced that doesn't have a certain level of jank, but this season so far is less jank and more "Jet is fumbling the ball like he did the edited show and is drowning to death from his own incompetence, and dragging the show down with him".
