With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

He's staring at the camera non-stop and stroking the dial on his rotary phone seductively. At one point he goes "We all... have to make sacrifices... to survive... we... we all... have to make... sacrifices... to survive..." so that poll actually is kicking someone out, I guess. Everyone's sort of ignoring him as Tay finishes up the giant check upstairs.
 
If the real & straight plot line is "The Initiative" then Jimmy will win season 2. He's the only one who shows initiative. Everybody else has to be goaded into doing things. Even if they decide to psyop him with the cult stuff and he starts tard raging and getting physical over PTSD flashbacks because that one school, and Mormons.

Just to give you an idea of how bad it is without him at this point, they were without jimmy for five minutes and the conversation slowed down to the point Trisha went "I just feel like there's nothing to talk about." Without an energic fish all these tryhards would just sit there twiddling their thumbs, Jimmy is the last real fish who's majorly interesting so the show will keep on pivoting around him and his shenanigans.

Sam has turned what was feared to be the worst moment of the show into a torture and grilling session for anyone who isn't jimmy.

9:05 pm: Ben asked what their worse day was so they're playing into the joker gimmick. Sam is talking about replacing peter/brian or thomas/tj.

9:15 pm: Sam is grilling everyone on their refusal to argue with or fight back against charleston because he was internet famous. He's going in on the fandom bullshit. They're bringing in tobscus according to sam, this is probably a joke.

This doesn't even seem scripted, it just seems like they have no idea what to actually do and making up as it goes along.
 
9:31 pm: Fishtank is schizo kino right now. Jimmy keeps playing with his noisy phone while sam and jet grill the fish about their failures. Jet is actually angry and pacing around the room. Sam is sitting in the corner like a villain. Jimmy keeps answering calls from his employers on his toy phone. They need to cut to the chase but the mood is good.
