The lack of any real comradery/tension and the random eliminations are a symptom of a larger issue, that the fish this season know about last season and so they don't take anything seriously, plus production keeps interfering when they should stay back and let things unfold naturally and trying to push bits that don't work.

This is the problem with narrative driving contestants being kicked off/quitting early. It gets rid of any type of tension whatsoever, and what you are left with are fish who are just there to exist. There’s no drama or dynamics, and it just feels like everyone is going through the motions rather than actual hatred or comradery being built.

This wouldn’t be an issue usually. In the case of season one it recovered fine after Jon was eliminated. But literally every fish who was the center of attention at one point during season two has gotten kicked off or quit. JC stealing chips allowed for the entire house to have a certain air of tension and distrust to it. There was genuine feelings of betrayal and hatred there. Killed off before things could even really start. Cole, whatever your thoughts on him are, was a narrative driving fish as well. His rich vs poor plot line also got killed off before it even got going.

After that, we were just left with fish who outright refuse to act on their own. With the exception of Jimmy, they arent there to make content, they’re there to win by coasting by. Not realizing that making content is exactly what wins you this show. Challenges rarely matter. Brian was kicked off because he was a nontent fish. After Cole was kicked he went from being a manipulative leader with tons of potential to being bro that just wants to hangout. What’s the fun in that?

As for production being more hands off that would work if these fish were capable of creating some content on their own, but again, the only one who does that is Jimmy, and I doubt Jimmy wants to make any enemies. The moment production goes hands off is the moment the show enters another severe content drought. It’s already hanging by a thread. I hate when production gets involved and forces plot lines, but they literally do not have a choice here.

On a more positive note, I’m enjoying where this Jimmy storyline is going. If the show is going to be carried by anyone, it’s Jimmy. He’s annoying, but he’s the only content driver right now so I hope he wins the whole damn thing.

And when Cole and Brian had to do Gator Squats, and Brian cheated to win and Sam gave that speech about how he likes a cheater etc., JC mentioned production saying if she left Cole wouldn't be eliminated, which makes me think they were really going to eliminate Cole regardless of Brian cheating at the challenge (and fucking up Coles ankle in the process)

The thing is that the fish should've had 1 or 2 additional days to get to know each other, but of course with the immediate threat of getting kicked if MDE/FT is mentioned to other fish until Christmas. That was supposed to happen on paper. But there are so many issues from the lack of or even nonexistent planning (I mentioned this multiple times in this and the Hyde thread), S2 turned into a magnesium fire and burned very bright (the first week was absolutely worth losing sleep over it) but short. The only thing that is carrying this show now is Jimmy or Sam/wiggers fucking with the fish.
The main problem is that the contestants are more thin-skinned and/or mentally unstable than S1 and all of them know about Hyde and the show. They should've went full Craigslist like S1, but I'm going out on a limb and claim that Jet planned the contestants to be mainly fans of MDE, which was a disaster waiting to happen. There are enough reasons on why the wiggers fucked this thing up, but Sam is partially also at fault here for putting too much trust into them and not reviewing the whole thing before it goes live.

Currently they are dependent on Jimmy as he currently is the main reason why people tune in and it's going to be very hard to outmaneuver this problem. There is no other fish worth rooting for at the moment.

There is potential in a TJ vs. Tayleigh storyline, because she was the one who voted for him to go home instead of Brian. But it requires tact to build this and they shouldn't go to Tayleigh/TJ directly and tell them "lol fuck with the other fish". Other than that, "Tomas" slowly goes back to being TJ and this is not a good sign.
The chips should be also used as a lifeline to make living in the tank more bearable and not as "rent" as things ramp up, people will go at each others' throats when they're presented with a way to alleviate their situation. Jimmy is currently the most loaded right now, and if he's not careful with his chips, the other contestants will use this against him. If they're not full kumbaya faggots that is.

The artist is Renard, makes a new "artist" and furry persona to match whatever style of music he feels like making at any given time. Some of those artists being: The Queenstons, Mayhem (sharktits), Kitcaliber, Darius + Rotteen, and on and on. If you have been terminally online since the 90s you have almost certainly heard a song he has made at some point. Renard himself has the usual leftist veiwpoints but wasnt too offensive of a person until he trooned out, stopped following him after that.

Motive is, she won the first season and wants it to be the best season, and ruining other seasons ensures that.

I was watching some clips after taking a break from Fishtank and I realized that I literally still don't know who the majority of these fish really are in terms of personality. To illustrate this, I will now list everything I know about the remaining fish.

• Jimmy: Edgy terminally online retard who's willing to do anything Sam asks him to do, but will probably fuck it up in the dumbest way possible. Has probably legit anger problems.
• Shinji: Is Japanese and did porn and prostitution. Gets more talkative when he drinks.
• TJ: Now goes by Tomas, and I think he was the one who got his R34 account leaked, but I'm not sure if they revealed that info to the other fish yet.
• Tayleigh: I think she was the one who was kissing Brian in the first couple of days, and was looking like she was going to be "the slutty one". Haven't seen anything from her in the clips I saw.
• Trisha: Literally could not tell you the first thing about her.

Is there something I should know about the remaining fish that makes them more interesting, or is the remaining cast really as bad as it seems?
