30 some years of media that is out there, easy to obtain, and has completed all the leg work for you
It really is baffling. Anybody that actually cared and wanted to take this seriously would've done something similar to this. It's embarrassing how many of the challenge clearly seem made up or are literally taken from twitter. I don't care if the show has some survivor tier challenges or big brother eliminations but if they truly want the show to succeed and be bigger than season 1 they need to step it the fuck up. They're still lucky with this season, just with how insane most of the fish have been, but not only have they barely improved from S1 but they've made multiple major fuck ups this season. I know Sam isn't exactly meant to be the head of the show but he's still the boss nigga of Jet and should've guided him more to make this season better than the first. 6~ months after season 1 is just retarded and pretty much everyone outside of the wigger crew agreed it was too soon. They need to put in serious work and use that money for serious shit like more people added to the crew, idk what they're paying everyone on the crew but it wouldn't surprise me if it's little and if it isn't, there are still plenty of people they could find that would be more than eager to work on the show and be paid pennies. They made a ridiculous amount of money, there's no excuse for the incompetence of season 2.

If they plan on doing season 3 (despite doomposting, S2 likely has made a lot of profit on top of the prior investments so S3 is inevitable) I think a lot of people will just tune out and stop caring.
Everything is such a mess now that they can't expect Fish to listen and respect rules at all.
I like this part of the show. It kinda gives the sense that show isn't just a hellhouse for the fish, but the crew as well, especially considering the shitty conditions they work in.
Tai doesn't get brought up enough when people talk about Fishtank.
He was the lifeline that kept season 1 entertaining after Jon left. He's pretty much the poster boy for what a freeloader should be.

Full conversation between Tai and Jet (some bonus production bashing in the beginning). The occasional freezes and picture/audio going out of sync in the end are due to the archives being fucked up.

Drinking milk triathlon. First challenge, drink half a gallon of milk, then do 60 sit ups.
Here's a funny tidbit from the first leg. Donye says he can't drink milk so Sam trusts him with the megaphone and gives him the role of a cheerleader. Sam then regrets it within two minutes of the challenge starting. It's clear he's creeped out by Donye's homosexual antics, just like when Simmons started dancing with the dress on last season and Sam barked at him to go to his room.

Here's an idea i've been sitting on for a few days that I really think could improve season 3 a lot.

Season 3 needs a dedicated team of people who do daily recaps for the show. Their primary job is to watch fishtank and clip all of the interesting bits. Ideally it would be 2 people at a time, who are dedicated to watching the show live and have access to the high quality feeds, rewinds, and tools to easily clip and trims interesting stuff who take notes about any stuff that shouldn't be clipped at the moment but my be important to know about a character or might be worth looking back at later on. Then, there are people who take all of that stuff for the day, edit it down to 5-15~ minutes and upload it somewhere as a daily recap. This team should not be in the house itself, they should be in some other location or in a shack just outside the house to insure there's as little bias as possible. Jet shouldn't have any involvement with the recaps themselves, he's a retard and would try to shape the recaps in his vision which we know is retarded. Anyways, I think there's immense value in something like this, as it severs multiple purposes.

  • Allows the viewers to have an OFFICIAL daily recap of the show. Many people don't have the time to watch the show, for various reasons or they just don't find the show entertaining live. Right now, people have to rely on 3rd party channels or viewing twitter/chan/kf to find out what they missed where people can have severe biases, not have all the details and spread misinformation, etc. They could easily monetize this, either with twitter or youtube partnership or ideally (because no censorship) have it be on the site officially and be a separate purchase or a part of a lower tier of season pass/account. I think $10~ is worth daily recaps if they're good quality.
  • These clips and recaps would make production much smoother. The crew aren't omniscient nor are they robots. Each member has several jobs and are likely often doing other shit, having a source of information that is solely dedicated to watching the show and being able to collect info will allow the crew to see stuff they didn't catch or more quickly figure things out that might take them more time as they go to the basement minutes after something happen then have to rewind footage of multiple cams to find out how something happened. There's also Sam who doesn't sleep in the house and is around for 3-5 hours a day, i'm sure most of what he knows that happened in the tank is word of mouth from the crew or 3rd party clip/recap channels. More information for the crew is always better.
  • This obviously helps out the final cut of the show a lot. Instead of Jet being a retard and trying to watch and edit a week's worth of 10+ cams into 30 fucking minutes by himself or hiring temp workers for it, he has half the work already fucking done from these clippers. With all those clips and notes available, it would obviously make for not only a smoother edit but an accurate edit, as long as Jet's not in charge of the narrative and is pushing his "vision".

It ain't cheap to hire 4+ people for a job like this but I think it would be worth it and it would be a clear bump in quality for the show and make it seem more "legitimate" and, at minimum, the idea of having an official daily recap of the show just makes sense. People have jobs, family, live in different timezones, etc and it's stupid for people to have to rely on random, biased sites and channels to feel informed on anything they missed. Also, this was just meant to be a part of a larger post listing multiple improvements and additions I want to see in the next season but this part took up so much time i'll just leave it at this. Hire me Sammy!!!

I know everyone hates him but Danye is so great at being annoying and making everyone uncomfortable, I'm impressed at how long he's been able to keep this up.

TJ just rang the beef bell on ben. ben mauled him and it felt significantly more antagonistic than when he fought sam. ben was kind of teeing off on TJs head and very obviously trying really hard. sam was pretty restrained and only really connected with that nasty jab, he mostly threw body shots. idk but this felt weirdly petty. after TJ lost ben told everyone they have to sleep on the floor. tai has not stfu in hours now.

just for the record, ben punched TJs head into the wall twice. kind of fucked up to do that to a guy thats boxed for less than 30 minutes in his life. ben had zero restraint.

edit: this reminds me a lot of ben wrestling delaney and going all out. i thought ben going all out on a girl was some sort of joke but maybe hes just an insecure fag that feels the need to prove himself against women and novices.
jet being butthurt at the end at Tai and making claims to "kick the ass" of anyone who beefs with production (jet won't box though I'm sure) really is solidifying what a nasty petty guy he is. Very disgusting behavior I would not even jet it up rn.

Sam really needs an adult to watch the Wiggers while he's gone. Jet and Ben seem to be acting like high school employees who fuck up at work, get their asses chewed out by the boss, and then try and roll that shit down hill to the customer. Only in the case it's to the contestants.

I didn't get to experience any of the Freeloaders last season, I had checked out before the first one, and the only one I recall from Recaps was Fatty. They sounded boring and were over doing things to make up for an the Fish remaining being boring. However, I do now appreciate Tai, he's good meshing into the situation quickly, and participating in content with out forcing it by being outlandish.

I also find it hilarious how well he's reading the situation. He's obviously not the brightest bulb, but he's not a moron either. I don't know if he really believes he's responsible for the tank breaking, but he caught on immediately how bad it was for Jimmy to be absent from the show, and can tell now that it's cooked and there isn't much use carrying on.

On one hand, jet is right the beef bell shouldn't be for use against production BUT the dumb mouth breather established it could be the first time they left tj beef with Sam. Either entertain it and do the beef like everybody else, or don't. Also jet posturing on a group of dorks threatening violence is laughable.

Also they do weird protection of the fish, my buddy tried to send a tts to Tay that she should brush what is left of her bulimia teeth and it got denied.

Who do you all want to win the whole thing? Who do you think should be second place? I've talked about my opinions but I'm curious what others think.
Tay, then shinji. Either of those would a good winner.

Man, Ben seemed to be a lot more intense there. I didnt' see the delaney stuff, but Ben is a little guy, perhaps he wanted to prove himself some, or avoid embarrassing himself. Also, I think TJ jumped the start a little bit, maybe ben was mad, lol. I can't get mad at Ben though, you gotta be dominate when you are one of the staff vs the fish. Maybe they could play into that some s3 (if they keep the beef system) and throw a challenge and give a big reward like pizza party or something, but limit it to like once or twice a week so you don't have constant beefs. Might also force the fish to pick the best fish to use for a beef, that's gonna build some tension and naturally show who might be stronger. Could really work out to add more tension.
.
Edit- Throw a challenge I mean lose on purpose. Give them a glimpse of what they might win, but then start sort of ramping up how hard they are gonna push back when you challenge them. I think that would be funny to gaslight them a little.

Another day where Jet comes out looking worse previous than before. If production didn't want Fish interacting and beefing with the crew, then they shouldn't have erased the line. Suddenly the people who bitched about the first night they erased it at the bar are vindicated. They then erased it further by having Sam box TJ because it suited TJ's forced arc. This TJ business has Jet's fingers all over it. He's never one to allow things to naturally happen.

The worst part of last night is that they need Tai. He's been a major part in repairing the dead vibe they had for a bit. I don't have a clip but earlier in the day Tai admitted that he left season 1 when he felt, "Things were getting dangerous." I think a mistake people make is that he's stupid because he's ESL. If you watch his live act, it's clear he's self-aware. Tai would have let the xbox go. But you can see his entire demeanor change when he realized he was almost rap battle bait and switched into getting beat up by Ben.

Tai feels unsafe because that's the atmosphere when Sam is gone. Sam creates the illusion of danger by asserting himself as intense and intimidating. What's funny is that has worn down because when Sam is around the Fish feel more comfortable then when he's not. Tay was happy to watch Sam destroy the house after 23 evenings spent left to the whims of the fatherless wiggers.

I agree, but I wish he had more than his 2 recycled talking points: they can't cook, and they have no culture.
tai is the only thing holding the show together when sam isnt in the house. watching jet pathetically beg him to stay was pretty funny
Tai gaming hours are unironically some of the best content.

It was so funny watching him play Valve games. When he started playing Half-Life 2 Ben came in and told him that it was a game for faggots, he then responded by saying that he thinks it's straight because it's dark and dystopian and is what happens when you don't vote. He spent 10+ minutes in the prologue slowly progressing. He didn't even give up on the puzzles because he didn't reach that far, during one of the first combat sections in the trainyard he could not figure out where to go, giving up and saying that it actually is a gay game :story:

I feel like he will be just fine after the show if he decides to go into streaming
I don't think any of them will have a streaming career, Josie's audience during season 1 was huge, diehard, and committed to supporting her streaming. Almost all of the content involving Josie was just about how fucking obsessed her audience was with her, creating conspiracies about Damiel, Jet, Winston, etc. And she is now a 300 viewer streamer, sometimes peaking at like 500? With no sign of growing, and she is actually good at streaming and puts the effort in. Thats enough to make a living off but its not like she's not gonna have to get a real job eventually.

None of the season 2 fish have her following or her content creation instincts. Tayleigh is too dumb and Shinji is ESL.

Sam is very good at managing the energy in the house, knows how far to push and when to hold back, something that both Jet and Ben fall short of. If Ben and Jet could hold back and give some contestants a rest they would probably still be on the show. I don't get why they can't let a contestant relax, they hound Jimmy for days and he snaps. They could have given him a day off and target someone else, then maybe they would still have their cashcow.

lance on a plane update. on a possibly related note a bunch of planes have been falling apart lately because of a competency crisis(((diversity hiring))) that is only going to get worse over time as more low iq brown people flood first world countries.
