I doubt this is the end of fishtank. There will likely be a season 3, but I can easily foresee a slightly longer break between seasons. They will likely need to address some of the problems with the house/neighborhood/town as well as let the paypig pockets refill.

Fatty's more autistic but I don't think he's anywhere near as disordered. Jimmy had delusions and paranoias and is prone to completely losing control and going violent, Fatty was mostly just dumb, he lost it occasionally but he clearly had actual restraint. It seemed much easier for Fatty to calm down than for Jimmy to.

The main thing is it seemed like they wanted him to go out that way. They could've pulled him when he started throwing broken glass or when he headbutted taylor or they could've had him do some kind of guys-only workout challenge and lose to the boys or whatever. Now he's just been made into the Simmons of the season because he couldn't quit at any cost even as his mental health was clearly spiraling.

I hope not and I don't exactly know where you get the idea that he's competent, he's barely done anything and the few bits he's been involved with were painfully unfunny. I like Ben a lot and he has a better idea of what's funny but he's not as in control as Sam is. Reality is that we don't know exactly how stuff behind the scenes work, only small glimpses, but it is pretty clear that by how Jet tries to control and talk to the fish and what he tweets that he really doesn't know what he's doing and has a vision of how things should work that clash with Sam and most viewers.

I think he's competent mainly because he doesn't trip himself over like Jet does with his attempts to insert himself in the show. Granted he's not much more than a cameraman compared to Ben, but he's maintained the fish-production barrier better than the others have.

Considering how much of a shitshow S2 has been I wouldn't be surprised if they stop entirely after this season.
It's clear that there was some early concept for the show with the 70s theme and the karate sessions but that got thrown out the window with all the early departures. Now it's just aimless with some intermittent monetary challenges.
It also doesn't help that the remaining contestants are not interesting and or likeable.

There will be a Season 3, but if Sam doesn't get someone to run the show above Jet, there won't be a Season 4.

Like I couldn't help but enjoy watching Jimmy because everyone else was so fucking quiet. It's apparent now when the fish have been playing go fish for the last half hour and are now watching Shinji play pong in total silence.

I knew the whole time he was going to fucking blow up and go out suddenly. I just hoped they'd have the decency to kick him out in a way that let him go home clean.

Instead, I do sort of agree with Jimmy here, they constantly fucking rode him with production TTSes and countered every positive TTS to him with a negative prod TTS and messed with him everyday while Trish, Tayleigh, and Shinji kicked back. Obviously, he shouldn't have done that. But it feels like tackling a dog with known behavioral problems in order to have a reason to euthanize it.

Do I think he could have won it? No. But I'm fucking sick of watching production complain about the cast "dogpiling" people and then dogpiling one contestant themselves. Letty was clearly an outlier - there's just no way they'll ever find someone who is both very interesting and very resilient like that.

Like, it would've been better if Jimmy hadn't been cast at all and they found some other retard who wouldn't go psycho, but really it would've been better if the entire fucking cast was not these people. I don't know why every time they have someone interesting they need to just ream the fuck out of them until they clam up or quit.

Even as I clung to the life raft of Jimmy, I never thought he was going to be a winner. I thought they'd have to try to delicate balance pushing and coddling him to get him to the final three, and have Tay and Shinji as the final 2. They did the exact opposite of that and pushed him to the point he fucking broke.

Not have a fist fight with the contestants of your show. Sam was obviously going super easy on TJ, because he was trying to give him a moment to shine, let TJ stand up for himself, and as soon as it went a little too far down TJ taking a real blow, Sam ended it, and celebrated him. It was much more of a bit than an actual fight. Sam also said no more ringing Beef on production, it from the top down looks super shitty on Ben and I consider him as bad as Jet.

In terms of the house, filming this show in a neighborhood is a retarded idea. I sure they are planning on buying a house each season, remodeling afterwards, and flipping it for profit using the shows resources for capital. I said last season that they should just buy a warehouse and build a set house inside it. Doesn't need to be a full house, just a framed compound with finishing just on the inside. Much better control, especially if they can some keep it secret they aren't in a real house, and eventually have a reveal when someone kicks their way through.

He stopped though. Both times Jimmy got into an altercation he didn't stop. I think there's a huge difference in that. Fatty had the mental guardrail knowing he can't make contact with Letty but Jimmy completely lost control and went delusional saying it was self-defense. Fatty at least knew what he was doing, where he was and why.

Speaking of Fatty, I pulled this off of twitter a while back, and found myself listening to it in the dead silence just now. Bums me the fuck out, man. I thought when Fatty joined they might sing together. It just sucks shit they had to kick him off in a way they knew would assassinate his character. I really doubt his normal personality can be judged based on the state he was in in the tank.
