Jet is a bit upset that people don't respect his wigger shtick. Shinji is a guy with tons of crazy stories (that aren't self-aggrandizing), he's never in a sour mood, and he's never got anything bad to say. Perfectly likeable and kind of the opposite of Jet

When it comes to Frank I just don't respect the "I'm a 30 year old fat guy who acts like an elementary school bully for my friends TV show" bit. I thought he was pretty mid on season 1. The only standout moment for me was him bonding with Fatty and getting Sylvia to freakout. The rest was pretty insufferable.

Frank is the person in the house right now who has the least redeemable qualities of any kind and yes I'm including Chris and Jet in that.

yeah jet openly hates shinji now. immediately after the challenge jet said “thats our audience ‘obama soda’ he has the most endorsements”.

Who exactly is supposed to be the exciting revelation of a contestant that deserves more endorsements?

What also really grinds my gear this season is the lack of preparation for challenges. They spend a lot of time thinking and preparing for a challenge when they should have prepared them way before the fishtank even started.

It was the same first season too. They have no long term planning whatsoever, whether by design or sheer ineptitude. Planned out challenges and beefs would drive content and create organic storylines while also giving them the option to have rigged challenges to steer specific storylines and feuds to follow a certain narrative.

he doesnt understand what being likable is and it frustrates him.

he spent an entire peptalk convincing trish to target shinji over tay. idk if anyone mentioned it but earlier jet gave secret missions to oliver and trish (i think) to steal shinjis endorsements. sam walked in during the second one and asked jet what he was doing. jet told him and sam clearly hadnt heard about his new plan. i think the jet sabotage theories might hold water.

I don't think it's necessarily sabotage but he does seem annoyed by his popularity, maybe its just him being a contrarian retard and being assmad that Shinji is more popular than lubecooch despite their best efforts to force him into a main character role. I did found it weird that he encouraged the other fish to form alliances but he didn't mention anything with Shinji though. I also think Shinji made a big strategic mistake admitting he was intimidated by Frank during the peptalk, Goran is probably going to try to sic him on Shinji now.

You're probably right, I was hoping (unironically) that reality TV with autistic MDE fans would be more entertaining than it is. I know it's easy to blame production, but I'm not sure there's anything you could do with these casts to make it entertaining other than a small handful of moments. Oh well, I'll keep watching this garbage.

i was mostly joking about the sabotage cause those theories were funny. i feel very strongly that jet is envious. everything else is probably just a lack of communication between him and sam (as always). jet was subtly trying to convince shinji to stay on the nice guy path to avoid resentment, contrary to sams advice.

frank still doesnt like the wiggers so hopefully he doesnt just take orders to evict shinji. idk if people missed it but when jet showed frank b2 he saw the “ben is gay” graffiti and said “yeah bens gay”, jet responded “the fish really dont like us” and frank said something along the lines of “yeah i can relate to that”

A lot of people are saying they no longer want Tay to win after the shoes and panties thing, because she humiliated herself. Isn't humiliating yourself for money the point of Fishtank? All that says to me is that she wants to win so badly she's willing to go to extremes, which makes me root for her more. Of course it's not a good look for her. It's not supposed to be. But putting up with gross and degrading bullshit without leaving is the whole point. It's how you win. She was so scared of roaches that it made her start sobbing when Frank threw them on her, but she's still here. That shows mental toughness. I was a Taytriot before and I'm even more of a Taytriot now. I like Shinji too, but as someone said before, Shinji seems like he's having actual fun on the tank. If he wins, it won't be as impressive as Tay winning, because she's awkward and anxious and way more affected by everything, while he's clearly in his element in this kind of environtment. Who's braver, the person who has a phobia of flying but does it anyway, crying the entire plane ride, or the person who isn't afraid of planes at all?

This creates uncertainty for the fish because they're waiting to see what to do next.

I think this is a core issue leading to Fish leaving early. I recall Megan being upset by this explicitly when she was on her way out but even if it is not a conscious thing to a Contestant on their way out, the lack of planning is what leads to the excessive prompting and quickly shifting situations for Fish who end up leaving early as well.
You could argue that its the weak Fish to leave, but besides Summer who was literally insane, Fish leave because the pressure rises to fast for them to acclimate. Staying under the radar lets them coast to some degree and that may be a large part of why we have the fish we do now, they didn't have Productions crosshairs on them in the first week.
