With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

my thoughts on the final character arc attic seasions

trish: sub-saharan IQ. deserves foodstamps, not 50k.

TJ: he has definitively had the most character arc so far, be it “forced” or not. saving the fight with goldstriker for the end wouldve actually been great. theres not much he can do with the taylor or fighting arcs and being more confident cant really be turned into an arc independently. the only thing i can think of would be to admit hes the real lubecooch and beg forgiveness. this would be legitimate character growth but maybe not very good television.

Shinji: he has had some character growth surrounding his politeness. the culmination of his storyline would only makes sense if he had to use his rudeness/selfishness to actually win. this could make for a great tv storyline where shinji fucks someone over to win. this ending is by far the least personal growth related but probably the most interesting by to watch.

tay: said she wants to be more aggressive. idk what planet shes living on because shes already the most aggressive fish by a huge margin. sam suggests taking a leadership role. this is growth related but completely arbitrary to her character. this also makes zero sense in a late-game free-for-all competition and probably wouldnt be an interesting climax.

overall TJ has a ridiculous advantage because hes the only person theyve bothered working with one on one. he just needs to think of something interesting.

edit: just thought of a good idea for TJ. right before the end he could blow up on production, saying theyve fucked with him non-stop and now its his turn to fuck with production. then says he’ll be fine without the money and walks off the show before the have a climax.

Sam has been a massive retard or is lying.

If he wanted the character arc of TJ turning into a man, why did he seriously box him early on?
All he had to do was jab a bit, not throw any serious punches, and make TJ look like a complete baby. That would have been a great setup for a final "real" match.

But he threw proper punches; now TJ would have to defeat Judge at boxing for a proper character conclusion.
If Judge had just played with him in the first match, then no matter the outcome of their second fight, it would feel like a big win for TJ to get Judge to take him seriously.
 
@Logic you need to fix the ash tray being seperate from its label, also thr newest 3 dead fish need some listed cause of death. I'm thinking Ali gets a public indecency charge.

edit: since I'm here, Sam was going easy on TJ round 1- he was extremely relaxed and playing with him, if you thought that was serious Sam, you'll be in for a big surprise

Yes he took it easy in the beginning, but his roidrage took over and he threw a couple of full power punches. He literally threw TJ across the room.
I saw his boxing match vs. Jake Thompson and Sam is strong and his hands are slow, he definitely gave TJ a couple of full power strikes.

Fixed the Ashtray being separate from the label. I've just been lazy with everything else cause its a constant rotation of new freeloaders coming in and out lmfao. I'll think of something, or just use someone elses' idea lmfao.

Trish has been a good sport, that's about it. She's not interesting and she's seemingly not too bright. She's Letty without the scheming and charisma.

TJ would have to a.) gain significant muscle and b.) learn to fight. They could have been training him from day one and he still wouldn't stand a chance against Roidstriker. I think the boxing thing was because TJ was kind of a slug. Sam wanted him to assert himself, somehow. And to give ole Lubecooch credit he stood in there while Sam knocked him around. That's the arc they're going for; don't be a spineless coom-brained non-entity.

It's way too optimistic to think that in 6 weeks he could become a competent boxer, it takes a long time to properly train to become a boxer with the right diet and training which is not what is happening on the show at all. If the show was about boxing and they were training him every single day then there would be a way to show improvement but he still wouldn't be good and would still get killed by Sam who is way heavier taller and more experienced than he is. The whole hypothetical arc doesn't make a whole lot of sense and Sam is correct that TJ standing up for himself and fighting the judge knowing he is going to get his ass kicked would have been a lot better for the end of the show.

And watching the fight it was really obvious that Sam was going easy on him only there was a massive difference in size, TJ could barely beat Tay in a boxing match and she is a bulimic skeleton.

Being honest a big reason they are stagnant is because people endorsed someone and then stopped logging into the site.

Mr Beast put all the food on the floor because TTS said they're going to donate thousands to charity, then started stomping on it. Then TJ walked in and joined in. Ben came upstairs and told them they can smash whatever they want, just don't smash glass. Then told TJ to sweep up the glass.

My bad, I couldn't tell and thought one of the TTS messages said to him

Josie came upstairs to hand Mr Beast a piece of paper claiming to be the automated donation email confirming that it was indeed a real donation. TJ pointed out it says the donation date listed is November 2024.
