With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Just looking at Zillow for half the property and its hard to pin a price on it, the land was assessed at $300k. They've given figures like 60 acres so I'll just do a doubling of that price to a flat $600k. Just how the fuck are these morons going to recoup the cost of the property in just two weeks? This is before other considerations like production salary, contestant salary, NPC salary equipment costs to clear the land and put all these shit tier structures up, all the costuming and airsoft shit, permits and all the other jazz like internet and electrical hookups. Just lowballing figures puts this sideshow near $800k. It well could be north of a million since Sam threw that figure out during the investor stream.

Assuming a rate of $30 per TTS, there is 336 hours total for them to operate this season and they'd need 27k TTS to clear the figure of 800k. This is about 80 TTS per hour assuming 24hr coverage which does not happen even in the real show, TTS gets turned off at night and they're not intending to torture the fish this mini-season. Assuming heavy markup on cigarettes and loot crates being delivered as well I still don't see them clearing this lowball figure of 800k let alone the steeper one quoted by Sam of a million or more. Either this is going to be a permanent establishment as an airsoft range or they're going to lose their shirts.

This is assuming they bought the land of course.

I think there's a good chance they just asked somebody they know locally if they could use their undeveloped land to fuck around on. There's still some startup cost to the equipment being installed there but I would imagine this is a small-scale fuckaround type thing. I know plenty of people who have around that acreage of undeveloped, relatively cheap land that only gets used during hunting season.

Yeah this is what has to be happening, there is no way the numbers work with them purchasing the land unless it was a permanent Airsoft/Paintball range and this being an elaborate promo/commercial for it.

disturbing little stream from Shinji, for some reason he only went live for 12 minutes.
  • Shinji comes on stream with face paint already on, so I guess he went out and bought that and put it all over his face for a stream that's only 12 minutes long
  • Shinji tries explaining his life story in third person, saying he was an extrovert and well-liked by girls but they formed a group chat and bullied him because "that's what girls do" leading to him becoming an alcoholic. He says this is what led him to going onto "a retarded show."
  • He says now "No one likes him" -- it gets confusing here because of his Engrish, his explanation of what caused him to be unpopular is sort of lost
  • Says now people tell him nowadays to just get a job, causing him to do a stupid joker laugh and then gag on spit then say "no explanation needed" implying that's somehow out of the question

  • Says he doesn't understand why people promote women so much on social media and can't adjust to seeing how much interaction women get compared to men
  • Says he's going to react to "female streamer funny moment" and then does another faggot laugh (because women aren't funny, he's being sarcastic) and says the challenge is to "try not to stop laughing" while watching female streamers.
  • then does more creepy fake scream-laughing while watching female streamers for the rest of the stream - i'm not saying the women are funny but he laughs at very random times so I'm pretty sure he doesn't even understand what they're fucking saying half the time
  • stream ends with him screaming at something some girl says that's clearly too quiet for him to even hear, spazzing out and abruptly shutting the stream off

It’s definitely being set up as the black sheep of the series. just strange decisions all around with this one. I’ll never understand why they just don’t hold off and release a season in a regular time span. Makes it more hype and special. So far they’re 0-2 with normal release schedule.

Someone earlier said Jet probably wanted friends to play airsoft and LARP and goof off with over the summer and honest to God, I think they nailed it. The reason for 2.5.

I really don't understand what they're going for with 2.5. It seems like absolutely no one besides Goran wants this. Most people I've seen just want to fast forward through this and get to a proper new season already. There's no way a gay vampire larp will be as engaging and entertaining as proper Fishtank.

Only thing I'm really looking forward to for 2.5 is Jon being wetawded
 
Of the contestants on Fishtank, especially the lot that were in Season 2. I never thought the one who would've went off the rails the hardest would be Shinji. Even Simmons who got called a pedophile is still just doing Simmons things today. Damiel would be a runner up in this category, that drug addict has nothing.

So I bought the season one pass and my dumbass never watched them. Are the site ones any different from the youtube one? Since I don't have an active season pass it won't let me watch season one.
Also is the archive available elsewhere? I noticed they removed all archives for season one on the site.
