With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I know S2 seems to be hated, but the first two weeks were really good. Shit slowed down after that, but there were still some all time moments. The attempted bludgeoning/joker boxing match was kino.

There have been a lot of goofy moments in 2.5, and production is somehow pulling this off better than I thought possible. Im guessing Jet is really into this type of thing and some actual planning was done.

I think it only works because we are familiar with the fish already though, if this were the S3 cast, Im not sure it would have the same impact.

This season is basically supposed to be a tribute to S1 & S2 / send off for the casts of those seasons isn’t it (according to that leaked screen cap of Jet talking about S3 being a fresh start or whatever). I have to say production have achieved that so far. The important thing is how they end the season. That’s what leaves the final flavour. Thats a big part of what absolutely ruined season 2. The ending was bitter & abrupt. “Shinji needs medical attention cut the cameras”.

Interesting, didn't know that. If they OG casts aren't going to be in S3, this is a pretty good send-off. And you're right, the last day of S2 and the ending as a whole was very 'meh'.

Plus if S3 are truly unawares, the S1 and S2 cast have little to offer.
 
I'm now very curious was the firefighter volunteer thing Jon said he did like a wetarded person program thing? I would not trust Jon near any sort of fire he's clearly a massive liability.

He isn't exactly wrong about the restaurant stuff. The restaurant is at a hotel his parents own if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure that he's posted pictures/videos of his time doing his "firefighting" job. The impression I had is that he was just cutting down trees to try and prevent/mitigate wildfires.

I feel like his parents just indulge him in this whole entrepreneur LARP instead of having to deal with him pouting and sulking and just let him pretend to be the owner of the restaurant(s) they own

Whats funny is last season Sam screamed at him "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO MAKE THE SHOW GOOD MISSION FAILED!" who knew it just took a different scenario to make jimmy work better.

also tay and letty attempt to unmask xavier and knock over their food. Jimmy was not pleased.

For context, Xavier said something along the lines of "I'm a 19 year old computer science major". This matches the description of Q, a /bant/ user who is obsessed with Tay. This freaked Tay out who now actually believes Xavier is Q. Letty seems to also believe this. After Tayleigh cried and walked off Xavier unveils an apprentice of his to show it's TJ or "Dante" for lore name.

Surprisingly TJ is good at larping and isn't stuttering. He's completing full sentences. He keeps calling Xavier his master and is indebted to him because Xavier saved his life by amputating his arm. The current mission is for the Fish to rescue Taylor, or as TJ refers to her, his beloved.

  • TJ has been added in, after a few days ago Jimmy shit talked lubecooch. Also thinking back to last season
