The fish doesn't have to be liked. Letty carried season 1 as the heel. Brian would have been better in the final for than the asian nontent machine, the flip hoor and TJ. Although a case could be made that TJ plowed through the final challenges like a retarded Luke Skywalker.

No, he wasn't. He was an insufferable prick. The only reason he was actually picked for the show was in a last-minute scramble due to a contestant pulling out, in the same vein as Damiel, as Sam/Jet/Brian have said.

All he brought to the show was pacing around, sitting down, and constantly overblowing everything so that he could maintain the pretence that he was specifically being targeted and that his experience was akin to being in the Hanoi Hilton.

CK is obviously a schizo mess, but Brian clearly emotionally and may well have physically abused her.

Not pulling out but having to be quickly swapped out. It was Black Frank, who was a friend of Jeremy, Letty's crazy ex who had spent the entire show posting revenge porn of her.

Good point. I think its much harder to follow wtf is going on too, the slow burn aspect of the regular seasons make it easy to keep up without having to watch all the time. But for what it is, its done pretty well. I hope season 3 brings the higher quality cameras.

I think we just have to view it as a troubleshooting season to test out all the stuff they've invested in, with S3 being a return to the norm

Production has full control over the environment and can set the rules for the fish.
The Jimmy debacle is exactly the same failure from production as the Tay debacle: losing a fish because Jet has to run a bit that is only funny to him.
Siccing all the fish on Jimmy wasn't nearly as entertaining as the nonsense Jimmy had going on by himself, like his secret codes.
The QAnon gaslight was also not entertaining; what was entertaining was the awkward back-and-forth between Xavier and Tay.

The fish are all a bunch of weirdos, and it's Jet's job to make it entertaining for the viewers.
But since there are so many MDE dick suckers, Jet thinks the fault doesn't lie with him.
If he starts ramping up the pressure on Jon and Jimmy now, then it's obvious he still has no clue how to handle these situations.

It's 100% Jet's fault; he is the director.
I am wondering how badly he will handle people who are not MDE fans. They might not be willing to put up with his nonsense and quit early.

What is tayleigh's deal? Paranoia? Narcissism? Stupidity?
- thought cole stole her panties for his sexual pleasure and (i think) never let it go or apologized
- Was convinced that tj was turned on by her in the baby/mommy challenge and never let it go or apologized
- thought xavier was her stalker and only brought on the show as a connection to her and not because he's a funny talented guy that production knows

Does she not realize that she's hideously ugly?
Also, if she really thought Xavier was her stalker, why did she let him rub her feet and everything else? Is she just that much of a bootlicker?

Yea, I know Sam, Jet and most of us have complained about the abundance of contestants who knew what they were getting into beforehand. But that has really been a crutch for them.

In S3, people are going to split when they feel like shit isnt fair. Oh were getting fucked with and humiliated and rules are being changed on the fly? Compensation seems vague? I think S2 would have had a lot more dropouts if they had known the money being handed out was going to be far less.

I think it was late into season 2 but there was a point (i might be misremembering this) where jet was alone upstairs and he had a moment of clarity about the love triangle fiasco and said something like “Yeah we probably should’ve left Brian & Trish to sort things out themselves because love triangles are stupid and we won’t do them again”

its like…..it took you that long into season 2 to reach that conclusion ?

yeah i actually hated brian season 2. he was such an unlikable faggot. what ive been able to see of 2.5 has kind of redeemed him a bit. he isnt unlikable right now.
season 2.5 has kind of changed my view on a few of the other fish as well.
i like jimmy a lot more. he is entertaining and funny at times.
tai can also be kind of funny whereas in 1 and 2 i never paid any attention to the weirdo gook.
i despise jon. i didnt hate him before but in season 2.5 he comes across as such a little unlikable faggot.

It will be interesting to see what kind of people they get and how the dynamic turns out. You could even have a "Tai broke the fishtank" situation where the normie fish ignore all the gaslighting and just wait out their time.
Maybe they plan to throw significantly more price money at S3 to motivate the fish.

I don't think she believed it, but Jet obviously thought that would be the most hilarious thing and had Xavier drop more and more clues that he is Qanon.
