Yeah just stream 12 separate live streams to another website so that whenever someone wants to change rooms they have to navigate to a completely different page on that site instead of pushing the arrow keys or clicking a location on the map.

And get banned the moment someone says nigger? The only streaming site that really doesn't enforce rules is youtube but if you are pulling in 10k views and speaking English they will.

nah, there's rumble, odyssey and other alternatives (Fuentes dropes "kike" and "nigger" on the reg with 15k viewers on rumble. Or Owen Benjamin, Joel Davis... etc etc etc)

Also all the dozens of restreamers are disproving this. None of them got banned, aside from DMCA by Sam/Neptune.

Most people watch Director Mode or some restreamer, because they are sick of using the stupid, often broken website. The clicking from room to room feature was a nice gimmick, but numbers prove that people stick with Director Mode. (Also don't forget people circumventing the shitty website, to watch the stream directly on flowstreams)

Hunger Games literally just proved that this works completely fine. Navigating the Hunger Games map with 50 streamers was even easier than the Fishtank control panel. The only thing they'd run in to problems with is not being able to say a few slurs. Being on something like Kick would get them a lot more exposure too.


But hey, its not my money, let them keep inflating their costs on million dollar houses and streaming.

they should stay find a way to both stream on the site and restream the director camera to YouTube. They might get banned for saying nigger but in general they aren't as bannable as they act like they are.

Multiple YouTubers restreamed the director cam. It's how I got most of S2.5 downloaded.

I think having their own site is nice, if only because I hate how homogeneous everything is nowadays.

There's a method to this madness i assure you. its like how companies got rid of microsd cards in smart phones, its so you can then sell storage, not because it might improve the phone, especially when its usually put in a spot right next to the SIM card

There are already several re-streamers who will do the job for them, I don't think they need to worry about this.

Speaking of stand up comedy. Letty and Tai did a stream together, and apparently she will be co-hosting the open mic at his house later tonight. This will be interesting to see, I wonder if she's gonna bomb.

By running your own "show", I'm assuming that it's just going to be a streaming platform for the fish so that it drives traffic to the fishtank site instead of twitter/youtube/wherever else they all stream. And the fishtoy store will probably just be a merch store of some sort, they'll probably help create merch relevant to the contestants.

They're probably going to take a cut of the profits from the streams or fishtoys, at least that's my guess. I don't necessarily think it's wrong to do so since it does cost them to host the streams, just depends on how much of a cut they would take.
 
The benefits of using the website to stream would be the ability to say and do basically anything, probably a fairer money split than sites like YouTube and twitch as well as help with monetising it but a massive disadvantage would be being restricted entirely to the fishtank sphere. There would be no way of growing outside of it like there is on other streaming sites. You could only stream to fishtank fans and nobody else could discover you through the website.

To be honest, it's a pretty smart move by Jet. The execution is however a completely different scope and is managed by wes (and maybe maejok and more people?). It's a shitton of work, especially testing the codebase and the infrastructure.
