With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

They're doing a long term challenge in which they look for candy around the house. Certain candies will be worth more points, and they have to be in tact by the end of the week in order to count towards a Fish's tally. We do not know the candy rankings yet.

For those who watched season two it's similar to the chips, except there is supposedly no punishment for the person who gets the least points. The three Fish with the most amount of points are exempt from an upcoming elimination. The elimination is a traditional reality tv one in which the Fish vote a fellow contestant off.

This is a good idea imo. The Fish aren't being punished by Production directly, and it's rewarding and fun for the Fish. Furthermore, it can create tension and betrayal among Fish if the choose to steal candy. Good open challenge for the first few days.

"FAMOUS HOUSE", which is the "story" for this season. The fish are all wannabe influencers/actors who are here to become famous by winning an internship with Sam's character.
 
If Burt is legitimately schizophrenic then it's going to be hilarious once he starts freaking out when TTS is turned on, especially since he will be too big for production to manhandle unlike prior seasons fish.

Yeah, Bert has a legit schizo freakout, it'll be like dealing with someone flying on Angel Dust. It'll take multiple guys to hold him down.

Someone once described the Square Hut as Ukraine's solution to Fishtank. I find this description very fitting as the contestants of S3 look like the Americanized version of hohol gopnik junkies and Chernobyl radiation mutants.
 
Well folks, I'm back for Season 3. Happy to see some familiar names in the thread & a big "thank you" to those documenting events as they happen since I can't follow as closely as last time.
I haven't watched more than a few minutes yet, but it really does feel like they got complete normies who are unaware of the show. I don't think real MDE fans could act this well if they were in on it (as evidenced by S2). The house is pretty well laid out & looks good. Too many Season Pass cams, however. I will never paypig.

Tl;dr: Cheers to my fellow Fishtank fans, nice to see you again.

Caved and bought a season pass after 2.5 seasons of not spending a single dime on Fishtank. Honestly? I'm completely fine with supporting a show I've gotten hundreds of hours of entertainment out of for free. People should support independent creators they enjoy. A paypig to me is someone who blows hundreds or thousands of dollars on Fish toys and TTS not a one time payment of 60 bucks.
