With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Didn't Sam only blow it to a couple of the girls? Sorry, I have a fulltime job and can't watch the streams all day. My only info is through various recaps and this thread.

He pulled it out by telling them that Simmons (lol) was doing lightning-fire editing and turning over episodes for the Hulu show in 24 hours. So, they know that "Simmons" at least is watching the cameras, they know the cameras are on, but they don't know it's being livestreamed. They all seem to believe the Hulu explanation.

Yes. The stuttering "I thought I was alone 😳 [sanpaku eyes stare]" should give the production a bit to think about.

Like how he holds it together in front of people and the instant he is alone he starts spazzing, rambling to himself, stealing sweatshirts and jerking off constantly. Finding out that's been filmed and streamed to 10s of thousands might severely embarrass him. And just as a reminder, he is a schizophrenic jacked gay prostitute who seems to have a murder rape fixation.

I would love to see Sam v Burt tho in a genuine fight.

Yeah he's as schizo as Jimmy but as ripped as Sam. That's a fucking dangerous combo.
 
The prize Burt won for the dance is a trip to Vegas. So now they are shooting scenes of him asking people to come to Vegas, but they haven't told the people he's asking that it's just a scene to "keep it natural."

Burt asking Ted to go to Vegas, Ted rejecting him, and then production forcing Burt to explain in detail why he picked him is the first time in Fishtank history that something on the show has been so painfully awkward that I had to stop watching from secondhand embarrassment for both of them. Although it sounding like a middle school boy/girl rejection when it's actually a huge black schizophrenic and an anorexic skateboarder guy is a very funny bit.

The backstabbing is unreal. Mizzy hates Simbal but was shit-talking Luke with Simbal and Alexis. Alexis was previously only mad at Luke because he wouldn't give her any attention at all, so she started calling him a sociopath, before the "pan incident". Obviously the second Luke came up, Simbal opened up with the shittalking and claiming Luke has dissociative identity disorder which I think Alexis first brought up.

Also congrats to the Wigger crew for making it past day five without losing more than one Fish. The current record for longest time from the start of a season to losing more than one Fish goes to season one, which saw both Simmons and Mauro eliminated on day nine.

It's not much, but it's an improvement from last season.

Jet turning off the cameras after the Simmons ejection (30k live viewers iirc) will forever be the fishtank 9/11.
