With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I was convicted of thirst posting. While I maintain my innocence, I have learned posting in this thread is a privilege, not a right.

Anyways, my significant other is an ER resident, and it's clear Burt knows more about medicine than she ever will.

i was thirst memeing but now i realize all the girls except payton are conniving, bitchy, and/or sluts.
 
Alright, Burt has admitted the supplements he gives Alex slows down cognitive ability and body functions, basically making him low energy. It's fucking with his content making ability and Production should probably interfere. It's also a crime to share prescription drugs lol. The anti-content pills are annoying.

I just don't understand Production's mindset here. You have a contestant on par with the greatest Fish there are, and you're allowing his content making ability to be neutered when there's such an easy out. Stop the pills.

We really don't know. They talked about it before being suplements, but it's impossible for any of us to tell what the fuck is any of those bottles in reality. Burt is mega autistic though and I don't think I've seen him lie on the show yet.

Edit: He might be giving him drugs and be slipping he's interchanging the word medication and supplements at times. No fucking clue though.

How do you possibly consider the contestants drugging each other 'anti-content'

Burt slipped up and called it "medicine" so it's likely something that he shouldn't be sharing

There are plenty of non-prescription supplements that slow down cognitive ability. Any of the posts mentioning supplements and medications ideally need to quantify shit by mentioning what the actual meds are in the first place (although I imagine you can't even see it through the shitty webcams)

The act of drugging fellow contestants is content sure, but as a consequence it is destroying tons of potential content from Alex. Look at it in terms of payoff. Burt drugging Alex lasts for ten minutes at most, Alex being unmedicated gives us consistent content throughout the entire day. It's a sacrifice of long-term content for short-term content.

Alex being inactive due to Burt's supplements also effects other Fish's content output as well. Alex has been a prime source of annoyance for the other Fish. They hate when he gets active, which results in them being annoyed, which results in seething, which results in lulz. Alex being medicated destroys that conflict.

Earlier Sam snooped around and snapped pictures of all the bottles but just because it's labeled as something doesn't mean it is what it says on the label.

Burt said "you have schizo affective disorder because the medicine works better on you than it does on even me" implying Burt has schizo affective disorder and is giving him whatever he takes. He also said alex needs a psychiatrist to diagnose him implying that he needed it to get the meds.
