Alexis is dumb as bricks but is totally right that whenever anyone talks with Mizzy around she tries to oneup them or make it about her
I've known people like Mizzy in real life and it's fucking miserable talking to them most of the time. Whenever you want to complain about something or vent, they go "oh, that happened to you today? Well, this happened to me today and here's why it's a hundred times worse!" Completely self-centered asshats.

She seems like a genuinely nice and fun person when she's not being a hyper leftist buzzkill.
Smaack and Payton aren't charismatic enough to help hold her team together.

Real talk tho, considering her upbringing, financial status, and the fact that she smokes cigarettes (a total faux pas in 'classy' leftist circles) I'd bet Smaack has more experience with junkies than just about anyone in the tank besides Alex. I'd bet if they pushed her she could get ratchet af (but only as long as she thinks no one is watching).

I mean, he isn't wrong about that. But currently I really enjoy how they fuck with them in subtle ways. It's more interesting then Letty doing something vile for the 20th time (although that was great as well). Generally I find it more enjoying then Frank cutting womens hair against their will.
The clip of Computer saying nigga to Burt and him just responding with "excuse me" had me howling.

This season has been really entertaining so far and it proves you don't have to turn things up to 11 for content. This season has proven we don't need Frank Hassle or Sam smashing things or ASF leaving skidmarks in his bed for the show to be a hit. I've been paying attention to the viewers and still as of last night they're averaging 10k-11k live viewers on the FT site every night around prime time, at this point in S2 it had definitely dropped off. Even right now, at not even 8am FT time, there are 3600 people on the site. I remember near the end of S2 they would struggle to get 1k sometimes during dead times, and definitely by the end of week 2 like where we're at now S2 was struggling to get 2/3 the viewers during dead times S3 is so far. I think the peak was 19k or so for the Ian elimination, which was definitely higher than anything in S2, I hope to see numbers like that next elimination which has got to be coming up soon since they just did the immunity challenge.

And the number of viewers on YouTube are also steadily climbing they went from 1k to 2.5k in the last couple days, although I don't know what they are during prime time.
I didn't really watch S2 because I kind of got bored and don't get a lot out of watching torture. But in the evenings I now regularly have FT on the second monitor even though it's just morning over there. I have to shut off because of work when things start to get interesting but thabkfully there are the recappers, clippers and KF. When getting ready for work I tune back in as well. It has got me hooked for sure.

This is my first season of Fishtank and as a normie without a penchant for seeing people tortured consistently, I'm having a blast.

It's for that reason I think I have some level of sympathy for fish like Burt and Smaack, and why I enjoy loathing typical reality TV show villain archetypes like Alexis and her gay sidekick (Slimeball is just a piece of shit and should be eradicated but that's beside the point). I can connect to these contestants because they have time to 'be' in somewhat normal circumstances. So when something does happen, I give a fuck.

Again, this is as someone unfamiliar with the real meat of Fishtank. But even with the promise of shit getting crazy later, I'm willing to stick around and see it through because I've come to learn about these guys and how they tick. I want to see their reactions to crazier shit, how they might deal with high stress situations, etc.

Granted, if the facade collapses and Slimeball isn't on the other side of Hell's Gate, I'm out. Forget what I said about not enjoying consistent torture: I want to see that worm squirm.

Connor is doing a great job as a freeloader, he's actually sitting shit up. I really appreciate this season and the fact these fish are so fragile that getting under their skin takes next to nothing.

I wonder if they cast Smaack because they thought she would be a typical insufferable PNW leftist chick which on paper she would seem like. However she's turned out to be a decent, likeable person who isn't spergy at all. I feel like if the wiggers are feeling bad about what might be coming for her, it confirms this.

She has only really cared about the use of the n word by Alex and even then it hasn't caused her to freak out unlike La'Ron. I like Smaack and the fact that nothing really seems to affect her but if she leaves before it degenerates completely it might not be the worst thing. I don't really give a fuck about the other girls.

Smaack has really grown on me. I think she more than any of the other girls (except maybe Binx) will be able to handle what's coming. She's kind of annoying sometimes, but that's her biggest flaw as a contestant so far, and I think she comes off as genuinely likable most of the time. She's also willing to fully participates in the reality show stuff so I think/hope she'll be one of the best once things ramp up.

She freaked out over but saying his dream acting job is a serial killer child rapist. And she didn't even confront him, she decided to set up a fucking safe word if something is bothering her instead of telling him to cut that shit out and act normal.

No way in hell is she resilient, any time something slightly bothers her she goes full lefty nag mode. She saw a plushie and said it was triggering her lol.
Her faux quirkiness combined with her lefty nagging makes her insufferable. The simping for her is insane, how jet and co find the most mid bitches that you dorks fawn over will never not perplex me.

The fish also grouped together and decided that they all need to team up to get the freeloaders out first. I forget who said this, it may have been Alexis but other people agreed. IIRC production tried to get the cast to do the same in Seasons 1 and 2 but i never really panned out aside from a few trying to get Nifty to leave. Alex also plans on using the other freeloader Jobe to break up the alliance between Sneed, Alexis, and Payton.

I absolutely love how this season you have a couple of people actually trying to strategize and play the social game (Alex B, Simbal, and Binx). Framing it as a traditional reality show and casting people who knowingly go into that genre (social game) but aren't aware of how fishtank works (contrived bullshit) has helped this greatly.

Side Note: The house working together to eliminate freeloaders is a horrible strategy if your main focus is the 50k, but at least its something.

Payton do something interesting challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
what are you expecting from a normie attractive teen girl dumped into a house full of dysgenic freaks/weirdos/losers and a production crew of people who are good at messing with people? id say shes doing pretty good just because she hasnt quit yet.

Didn't she take the red pill? And if I recall correctly, she has talked about being a big fan of reality shows, and has planned exaggerated reactions before. I am not sure she isn't playing a character/the reality TV show game. I believe she is trying to be a villain maybe.

She's explicitly said she's the villain. She's also the only one that's laughed at some of the absurd humor, like having Burt hide in the bathroom from the ventriloquist. If she is trying to be a villain it's pretty hilarious that she's managed to create the perfect character for pissing off Sam specifically, and most of the audience.

I think everyone is playing a character to some extent, even if it's subconsciously. Simbal has been trying to be the villain from night one and admitted to it. Burt got creepier after Simbal told him to think about why he's on the show, and he told the camera that he trusts production to correct him if he's wrong about how he should act, I imagine he leans into murder rapist more as the weeks go on. Alex is acting like Alex turned up to 11, and has claimed to be the heel. Even the other fish all keep repeating the mantra "it's a reality show" or "it's famous house."

I almost think that at this point, if Sam outlined the full truth about the show they wouldn’t believe him and would assume it was all a bit.
