With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Simbal has no fucking idea. None. If he knew the things he was saying to Sam in that confession interview, how much he was holding back, Burt could have snapped him like a fucking twig. You can tell Burt works hard not to hurt other people, even though he wants to.

And Sam would not leave those two alone in a combat situation no matter what.

Comparing the cell finale to the S2 finale is interesting. They were both similar in that it was a battle to exhaustion with tons of drama.

However, the cell was completely natural, and kind of devolved into chaos. There was little no coaxing from production.

Being reminded of the bar setup, I am really shocked they haven't brought back a bartender. BWC was genuinely a great addition to the show. He really assisted in letting the fish air themselves out last season. Along with that, I think this cast would respond even better to a bartender situation. They've kinda missed the boat though as that should've been a week 1-3 thing.

Part of it is that they can't smoke at the bar. They've got the designated smoking area in the yard. Yard is poorly mic'd up.

Agree 100%. I was sure after seeing there was a bar that Chris Lynch would be back, he may not be able to read but he was a pretty good people person. Not to mention it would really do a lot for them to have a person from outside the tank who they can act a little more casually with than the regular staff to act as a sounding board. Some of the best interactions last season were at the Reef yet they've barely used the famous house bar. Also comparing the two bars aesthetically I really miss the Reef, and just the general look of the S2 house, S3 house is too brightly lit and boring looking compared to the comfy wood paneling and carpet.
