With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I don't think people here really understand how Binx approaches social situations at all. It almost always follows the 3C method -- Comedy, Cordiality, and Confrontation. She'll open with a joke or being playful and if she can't get what she wants she elevates to a more neutral but friendly tone, if that still doesn't work either she'll elevate to a confrontation, sometimes begging Alex to calm down, or shouting at Jeet as examples. This is why she sounds like she is joking when she is insulting Jeet and telling him she hates him, she is still at the comedy stage. She is bringing up a real concern to production that the bar speaker's volume is too low but since she is still in the comedy stage she makes it into a joke. She does it so effortlessly that I doubt she was taught this by a professional, she probably picked it up from her family or people around her growing up.

Binx is extremely good at "the social game" because the 3C method is astonishingly effective at disarming people. Not only does it work amazingly against targets, it works against the user as well by making them a more happy individual because they constantly crack jokes and laugh. The only major drawback the 3C method has is making people think you're not a serious person and something of a clown if you lean too far into the jokes.
 
Okay, let me get this straight. Binx manipulated Burt into almost killing the jeet… and people are mad at her? That was some of the best content of the whole show so far.

Personally I'm not mad, BUT, now that I've gotten a taste of Binx seethe I want the jeet to trounce her again.
 
After the cell, I feel like I respect Simbal more. He's still a filthy jeet who'd absolutely join in on one of those mass rapes/molestations that happen in India, but this has proven he's still 100% in it to win, even after the real show began.

I think him winning the Cell means they can pile on him more now without being worried about legal action he threatened before. If Luke comes back to mog him, is he going to leave his 5k behind now? He wants those winnings. That's a lot of Google Play cards.
 
One TTS during the Cell that amused me was the Voight-Kampf test from "Blade Runner 2049" being read to Burt (the whole "Cells interlinked" mantra).
 
I thought this was funny, whether it was real or not. All the Balls Out Bonanza lottery stuff that happened throughout the chaos of the fish fight.

The India comments started over TTS paypigs making shit up about connor talking shit about India so the jeet demanded Connor to apologize to the entirety of India over something he didn't say.

That last clip is priceless. Good catch. The song is just someone saying "nigger nigger nigger" over and over, carefully disguised in the dance beat. Oh, my sides.

Dude thats just how Hispanic women are. Its like black people and jokes about mama, you dont want her to ask a third time. Its that when you hear that buttery tone you know you arent being talked to, youre being told.

Alex has a hispanic wife so he knows what its like.
 
If they voot out Burt there will be far less content and the only character I like will be gone, if the voot out Payton that means Binx and Mizzy are still there and both of them are far worse girls.

While it would be smarter to vote out Burt since he competes well and is staff favourite and fan favourite they seem to only want to do it because he isnt cliqued up like them and because Mizzy keeps pushing it to save her own fat ass.
The smartest choice would be Binx if she wasnt immune or Mizzy.

Having slept on it, here are my thoughts on the cell, in no particular order:
  • Best cell so far, probably better than all prior cells combined.
  • Just enough pressure, even early on, to get LaRon out. Good riddance.
  • LaRon getting kicked out completely turned things around for Payton and by the morning she was laughing at Payton Poor Corner TTS and even after leaving the cell, she said she's sticking around.
  • Payton did not specify whether the chipotle wings she ordered as part of the Chili's Triple Dipper Jet doordashed for her were boneless or bone-in. I choose to assume the worst and it was boneless.
  • Simbal went above and beyond and dare I say, earned some respect. Him seething over TTSes comparing the cell to India was great.
  • I'm a little worried about Burt, hopefully he can destress today. Despite saying he planned to be the first one out, he stayed till the bitter end and the fish fight with Simbal surely took a toll on him physically and mentally, not to mention the lack of sleep.
  • Binx impressed me with her resilience.
  • Alexis did an IG live with JC last night and talked about how she was "worried" for Payton. The same Alexis that facilitated Payton's underage drinking. C'mon.
  • Connor impressed me with how much he was able to piss off Alex.
  • The wiggers clearly did not expect the cell to go on that long and had to speed things up at the end with the rapid-fire fish holding challenges.
  • The various fish reactions to being out of B2 and going back later in the night were great. Binx screaming "OH MY GOD" and Payton holding her nose and gagging. The combined smell of BO, sweat, piss and rotting fish in the heat must be unbearable, doubly so as these fish didn't know about Fishtank prior and had no way of expecting this kind of house.
  • This is the best season so far, but I'm still anxious about it falling off a cliff at any time thanks to S2.
  • I don't know if the ball raffle being illegal gambling was real or not, but I choose to believe it was, it's funnier that way.
  • Today will be nontent. Vibe repair it up Jet!!!
