Simbal is obviously a manipulative creepy loser without one ounce of authenticity to him. He is a detestable kind of human being.

But last night his performance was impressive. Like others have said he is in the position Letty was in season one (hated by all the other contestants), except with no fans - just a few people supporting him ironically. Positive Simbal TTS was also free for a long time and he still didn't get much support. In the Cell Sam straight up told Simbal that they cut him out of the trailer because they thought it would be funny to exclude him, and also said very plainly that the reason Simbal isn't getting any plushies is because the audience doesn't like him, and neither does anyone in the house. He took it well.

After Binx worked Burt up into a schizophrenic fervor, Jeet stood in the dark with a 200 lb mostly naked sweaty Black Urban Ripped Trainer who was yelling at him that he was a plant and all other sorts of insane conspiracies. I think most of us would feel scared in that situation. Jeet was able to talk Burt down, albeit with assistance from the wiggers.

Fuck Simbal, but credit should be given where its due. And if candy should be his downfall, God, I hope it's sweet.

Best cell so far, probably better than all prior cells combined.

Hot take, this cell was atrocious besides the finale. The majority of it felt like a parody of wigger greed, and there were points where it felt like an offseason gimmick rather than something apart of a real season. It was made worse because of the fall off from Famous House gaslighting to ball simulator. That being said, the finale was really good and was close to peak Fishtank.

Just enough pressure, even early on, to get LaRon out. Good riddance.

Laron and Alexis leaving earlier on kind of sucks just because we will never get a satisfying end to their shitty behavior. Alexis and Laron got out of the house pretty easily and relatively unscathed, and that’s going to haunt me. Was hoping for more of a Simmons type confrontation with either of them.

This is the best season so far, but I'm still anxious about it falling off a cliff at any time thanks to S2.

People might disagree with me here, but when comparing Famous House and Fishtank s3, I don’t think the shift has been worth it yet and I wish Production stuck it out a bit longer. Obviously this opinion can be proven wrong because we’ve only been in Fishtank for like two days now, but the added layer of gaslighting and narratives that Famous House had were such defining factors for the show that it kind of feels empty without it.

Luckily, Production only lost expendable Fish and we still have content drivers like Burt and Alex present, so a kind of recovery is imminent. But Production is clearly falling back into their old habits that we have critiqued in this thread. They absolutely rushed the shift because adhd wigger brain and money, challenges post reveal have been pretty lame (they got lucky with the cell finale), they’re going pretty hard on their current content drivers Burt and Alex, Sam has no sense of character since Jeremy Gold has been discontinued and is kind of just there chilling with the Fish similar to his time in the dark days of season two, the show has taken a turn towards tts and sfx spam that wasn’t present when the Computer gaslight was still going on, and most of all the show is appealing to paypigs.

There’s never any balance between making a quality show and shilling for paypiggies. Famous House provided a kind of balance because TTS kind of had to make sense for the gaslight to work. Even if sfx or tts spam got through, it didn’t matter because the Fish thought they were talking to an advanced AI. The added layer of gaslighting made even the worst TTS somewhat entertaining.

I’m rambling now. What’s done is done. the shift is complete. We will be able to gauge how this season truly holds up when it’s over.

Tbh I think what happened is the combination of the unexpected departures of Luke/Ted/Smaack, and the walk-out posturing of Payton/Alexis/La'Ron, put production in panic mode and they felt that they needed to do the reveal before there weren't any fish left to reveal it to. We're two weeks in and we've already lost half the cast with another elimination looming, and production lost their plant to facilitate the facade of "Famous House" like 4 days in. I think holding back the reveal til Day 20 or whatever the intended date was would have been a risky gamble with the state the cast was in.

I think a better idea would of been a day or two of uncertainty. Instead of straight Famous House -> Fishtank, I think they should of played up production troubles. Talk about Hulu having issues, threats to ditch the show of things don't change, possibly the show cancelled, or having to change networks.

Have them do some goofy stuff for the network, make the women cover up more because of international markets, also have a decompress day where the show is paused because it's possibly getting cancelled.

That way, the Fishtank reveal is also a bit of a relief, the $50k prize is still there.
