With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I'm no expert, but I'm currently studying film in college and organizing people, a website, live audience reactions, the cameras, microphones, film crew, etc is a lot of work for how few people are working for them. these freaks scream and cry over nothing. sometimes theres valid criticism, but jet and the team are working literally 24/7, and for 42 days straight? that shit would kill me for months afterwards. they deserve much more credit than they are given.

This "wow their job is so hard" criticism goes out the window when you remember they are literally making millions of dollars from the show, which is often conveniently ignored.

Is it a lot of work? Absolutely. But they are getting paid very well for it. They need to be able to handle the audience being bored with a shitty challenge. Any shortcomings in staffing mostly comes down to them wanting to increase their profit margins and not hire more staff.

I'm pretty sure that rectangle we saw Burt holding in his sock was a money wallet. Some prisoners gave up a rectangle orange plastic wallet full of cash to Ben in the confessional a short time ago, saying they were excited to find cash and wanted to walk out with it. They offered to put it back but Ben said he'd put it back, lol. I have it clipped but I'm still recording. Good on them for not being straight up thieves, they would have been caught anyway.

ALSO BURT WHY DID YOU BRING MONEY? To pay people to fuck him? I have no idea, hahaha. I love Burt so much.

only they set up the idea of doing this 24/7 for 42 days. they could have easily just done it for a week or whatever or had twice as many people behind the scenes. You're acting like they were forced to do this with the resources they had. ITS THEIR 5TH CYCLE BUDDY, they know how much they can make off the whales, but refuse to increase production quality or hire more people or change shit up. Dont you side with Jet.

Also i can tell you'll never make it in film because 80 hour work weeks are the norm in that industry. If anything reality shows are easier than making any other kind of tv show for that exact reason.

Its almost like a joke how blatant it is, if not Jet himself, some fag from production "i'm in film school" unless its being taught by someone that knows nothing about film he's lying. Even if you're making a short film you understand how shitty the job is but it still ends up looking good. He's also acting like reality shows didn't also have a similar budget to this one while being made, and everyone was being paid union wages for those.
 
how come there are only 2 fishtoys? was it like that all through this season?
