thats fair. My point was that the audience has a tendency to flip flop a lot over what they like and dislike.

Also, I am not jet or production, merely a viewer.

Also you're right, I don't have experience on a real film set besides my colleges film sets. My point is that Jet is trying to both run a production while also managing the fish, while trying to keep the show entertaining. When things backfire, he has to scrap ideas and try to think of new ones. It's not the craziest production ever, but there's a lot that they have to account for. I wasn't trying to suck him off, I'm just trying to give him the benefit of the doubt THIS season.
No you are right, the "fans" really don't know what they like and they have no clue how hard it is to run a show like this or they don't care. The amount of shit streamers who have attempted their own Fishtanks that fall apart in a week at best are proof that it's a bitch to run six weeks of this. The "fans" don't give a shit and expect instant gratification 24/7 and if they don't get it they shit their pants and talk about Jet like he's Satan. You would think that if they really disliked Jet so much and think the show is so boring they just wouldn't watch it but that's not an option to a Fishtank fan because they are all autistic retards in constant denial. Jet shut them up real fast when he pulled the streams earlier.

This is a terrific show and I love it so I'm glad it's on season 3, but if I were in Jet's shoes I would have never made a second season because the audience is one of the worst ones out there and that was clear in S1. You can call him a whippet brained wigger or whatever, and I agree, But Jet is still superior to the average Fishtank fan by miles.

Also the poster you are quoting is a huge loser, don't take anything he says seriously.

how come there are only 2 fishtoys? was it like that all through this season?
you can only buy a plushie or a pack of cigs for the yard if anyone is curious

I believe they were experimenting with automatic fish toys (fogger, honk the horn) for some reason. Seems like they don’t want to waste time with toys.

Is it because they constantly have Vance/Luca running cams upstairs, and don’t have a wagie to run toys up? Too many viewers making cheaper fish toys unmanageable? (Think, the stack of “ball lottery” papers that probably killed their printer).

A big part of the experience is interacting and a lack of fishtoys is pretty gay.

how many producers does a show need to figure out that they need to feed the contestants to keep them motivated or how to not tell the audience to get fucked if they don't enjoy any of their planned bits. Serious question, so please answer it

read what I already wrote here: https://kiwifarms.st/threads/sam-hydes-fishtank-live-general.164029/post-19846614

to answer your question: most live, semi-scripted reality shows have like 300 producers doing shift rotations

Thank you I appreciate the response, I was starting to feel like I was crazy lmao.

I think its a case of "its much easier said than done".

As someone who used to babysit i assure you the answer is actually 1. You need just 1 person to make sure people have food they can eat and that you don't tell the people paying you money to go fuck themselves. Do you have a job? Why do you need 300 people to keep you from starving?

Wait Jeff actually talked?
Jeff got real wild last night. He came into the kitchen and started hitting on Mizzy HARD. saying he noticed her ass, all kinds of mad shit. She tried to be a good sport about it but even she was a little weirded out and Jeff realized he went too hard and wandered off for a minute. Then later Jeff admitted he graduated in 2005 and I'm just like that's the ROUGHEST 36-37 I've seen in a long time. I thought he was older than Connor, FUCK.

I am a Janny Jeff enjoyer though, he's fucking weird. As long as he stays away from sexual topics he seems to be okay.

Go and read a subreddit or whatever about the film industry. Keep in mind most/all of them have no qualifications let alone management qualifications and there are a lot of "special" people hence why I would say you need 300 producers.

Film production (especially livestreamed 24/7 ones) is always a total shitshow unless it's some super big budget film or TV show - in which case they have the budget for the aforementioned 300 producers.

Literally just asked how many people it takes to keep a dozen people from starving buddy. Didn't realize you needed 300 people to keep from telling people to fuck off

I know a few industry people, including people who worked reality shows, the crew is often quite small. That was part of the appeal for networks— these were far cheaper to produce than a traditional scripted drama. You certainly don’t need 300 producers.

As an example, though it’s not what we generally think of as reality TV today, TrueLife on MTV literally had a two person crew that would travel and shoot on location doing everything themselves. Obviously there were other support people on the back end, but mostly a 2 man operation when they were shooting. The issue with Fishtank is not the fact that the crew is too small.

Honestly though, this season is great. I didn’t see the boring parts that happened today that got everyone bitching, but if you’re running bits live every day for 42 days, one bit not hitting isn’t even really a failure on the production’s part. It’s just something that’s bound to happen occasionally no matter how good the team is.
