With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

There's no official word and even then the wiggers are unreliable. Put it on in the background whenever you get the chance and wait, that's as good as it's going to get.

S3 simultaneously feels like an eternity ago, and as if the first clueless fish walked through the door just yesterday.
Who knows what new horrors await us this time around.

It's when the show has the most potential, we get to see the theme as well as contestants. I just hope Jet doesn't fuck it up.

I forgot how incredible it was that Burt (that's B - U - R - T like Black Urban Ripped Trainer) was in the house for three hours and had to go into a room with two bunkbeds and start burting off. In the background you can hear excited people chatting, new contestants who he has never met are walking through the room, and he's just laying there in the dark. Frozen. Waiting for them to leave so he can continue.

It was incredible, top-tier content. I don't think there will ever be anyone as perfect for the show as Burt was. And that is why I can never tell anyone about this show.

Less than 24 hours until the start of S4, and Connor has decided to leak more texts from Burt where he says Fishtank is a predatory scam that's rigged, calls production and the audience sadistic, money-hungry manipulators, complains about Sam Hyde, and calls the Fishtank audience hypocrites for bullying a mentally disabled, mentally ill black man for being a degenerate pervert.

Additionally, he also posted a video of other texts. Probably most important of note: Burt claims he is filing for bankruptcy because he claims his personal business and finances have been ruined as a result of going on the show. When he asked Bill Ottman for the remaining prize money, Bill told him to just stream on the website instead.

Any timestamps on these? Its odd that he has been following around the MDE crew for the Extreme Peace premieres for the past week.

Edit: These were from a month ago.

It's really funny, too, that if you go back in this thread everyone was speculating that Burt was going to have a schizophrenic breakdown and kill everyone and no one would be able to stop him. I thought the same thing, but the Burt lore had not been revealed yet and it was so much better than anyone thought possible. Shout out to Jim O'Hara.

Well he doesn't really have any leverage. Whatever income he has at this point is dependent on Sam/Jet and the largesse of the fishtank audience
His family also relies on him for financial support so if he stops performing and goes completely belly up his mom and siblings will have even more problems.
He periodically cries about how manipulated he feels but always keeps coming back to stream.
Mizzy calmed him down and convinced him to keep going after he had his breakdown on streamstars back in like March.
