With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

i feel like this is the first cast with zero people with any real aspirations. they are all floating around losers. s3 came close but burt was at least moderately successful. no one here has a real plan for anything (which i guess makes sense as they are early 20's except a few but still these losers are fucking bland)
 
I like the cast. I don't know what to think of ellie though, just some random highschooler it seems. The rest are all just fuck ups with no aspirations, except Rachel who has retardedly high aspirations (but is still a fuck up). For some reason I find some of the guys like Jin and Aryen endearing in that they know they aren't capable of much but are content anyway.

I think the entertainment value was very high for day 1.

But, there is no new house, no theme, and Hyde isn't playing a character.. I'd argue those three things are usually a big part of the experience.

Honestly a good first day. Ellie is probably fucked like JC and will get shipped off which sucks if it happens, but everyone here is insane and mostly unlikable enough that it will actually work as a torture house.

They have marketed a twist after week 2 heavily to investors.
 
Anyone record the other confessionals with Sam? I only caught the last two. Seems like a great cast so far, Judge Holden is growing on me.
 
As cool as it is to see the S1 house again that combined with the fans kinda makes this feel like a tribute season rather than an actual season


This feels more like those things TV shows do after it’s run ends where they have the cast give commentary on the episodes
