Season 3 is the only season that didn't consist of fans. S1 was MDE fans, S2 a mix of Fishtank and MDE fans, Bitchtank was 100% fans. Even fans like Luke were great for Season 3 at driving the show when things got slow. The problem with fishtank is Sam and Jet's reckless gambling for minimal gains that expends a fish here and there and those errors compound on themselves.

S1 was actually more of a mixed bag as only Vance and Sylvia were actual MDE fans, Letty only saw a few MDE sketches as a teen, Josie only found out about Fishtank because of Jets music and I'm pretty sure Simmons and Mauro just stumbled across it and wanted to be on a reality show.
