With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I kind of liked Payton, but she basically did two memorable things over a whole season. She kind of just sat there pouting most of the time. I get your point, but bringing her up is kind of weird. The problem is not "not having a villain", it's fish oftentimes just not doing anything without being forced.

Ellie is quiet but did more in one week than her. I personally like her autistic talks with Aryhe. Even if you don't like them, she didn't just steal his candy, she constantly tried to steal and scheme.
Most of the fish are way more active than the fish in the past two main seasons, so I get why people see her as the weakest link, but it's just not true, that she's not doing anything at all.
 
I honestly like all the remaining fish. Rachel was unbearable and exhausting, too the point where she could only be watched for a few minutes before it made me change over to any other camera.

The rest are all fun in their own way and have enough upside to where I hope they keep them all together for another week
 
That was the best night of fishtank ive ever seen, and ive watched every night live other than the low part's of s2.

just got reminded that Seth quit his job for this, so it'd be especially funny to see him go home tonight. he has to be the most bland contestant in fishtank history, bland wonder bread ass mf. the show would be the least affected if he were to go. i hope production "accidentally" drops some of his candy in the trash.
 
This season has had a really funny first week. Season 1 wasn't even this good

My point isn't that there *needs* to be a villain, it's that people rooting exclusively for fish that they like and have a parasocial attachment to leads to a fucking boring cast who don't want to antagonize each other.

This felt like a "towards the finale" level event with the destruction and physical activity, all within Week 1
 
Daniel never thought to use a pillow case like everyone else but it would bite him in the ass as Angie was able to expose the bag very easily.

He went for a plastic bag, again, Angie was able to rip it apart.

You understandably forgot that Seth exists but otherwise, I agree. It's a good cast and I'd like them to stick around.
