With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

idk i've been really enjoying this season idk why people are feeling this way
i liked the peter magic and lori tarot stuff, the voodoo challenges, the candy challenge
i feel like theyve been doing lots of stuff
ive been watching pretty consistently and there hasnt been a ton of downtime really

Yeah, I'm enjoying it a lot better than S3, mostly because I found Burt to be repulsive on multiple levels.
It's just that there isn't much to say about it, not because it's boring, but just because there's not much "game" being played by anyone, cast or production. Which is fine by me. Not really watching for the competition aspect, for me it's mostly about characters.

Luckily this season has had the strongest overall cast, yeah past seasons had better individual competitors but there were sooo many more duds in previous seasons, the average fish quality is its highest in S4 and that's helped carry it through lazy production and nontent hours, like Aryeh sperging relentlessly today about Angie stealing his fishbucks (that he had stolen in the first place).
