With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Just catching up here, what EXACTLY is the "legal trouble"? What laws could they possibly be breaking by livestreaming from a private residence?
 
being able to steal Fishbucks is kind of lame because it makes winning challenges almost pointless since they'll inevitably be stolen, but its also led to plenty of drama and great moments. i'd say its for the best, but maybe they could regulate it in some way.

We don't know exactly. They were cagey about the details. Just said they've been playing for time paying fines and the like and that it has now moved to the next stage were criminal charges are possibly going to be filed within the next few days. Finally made some vague jokes about going to jail around day 38 if need be... 🤷‍♂️ .

The best solution would be to have a specific night where they would be allowed to be stolen.. kind of like The Purge.. make all the fish wear cringe masks and shit and have Purge personas.

Then you get concentrated chaos that the fish will know is happening, but before and after, strict no stealing.

From what I've observed, I think Jet's ultimate vision for the show is for it be structured like a real reality tv show Big Brother or Survivor where game strategy, rules, challenges etc. are really important and matter. Difference is, those reality tv shows are made in editing and for a 24/7 livestream to be entertaining, that's not going to translate 1:1. More often then not, it will often devolve into the poo poo pee pee show where creating "content" rules, and Sam leans more into that aspect.

There's some point in the RV in S3, Sam and Jet were talking about the future of show and Jet was for having elimination votes and Sam was against it and they opening disagreed, which shows the differences in ideology that they each have, I think its in this video but I don't have a timestamp:
